Hello! I recently got into the cfw scene. Long story short. 2 different firmware are on my switch, fuses are likely blown. console black screen, have tried all methods of turning on. The only solution I can see is getting into RCM and going onwards from there so I can skip fuse check. Problem is, my pc or my laptop do not recognize RCM anymore (I use a jig). Really appreciate help, thank you!!

I have a day 1 switch. I already had atmosphere working, I used daybreak to downgrade but ended up with 2 firmware running on the console thus bricking it and I cannot go into RCM anymore.

Every switch can go into rcm.. has nothing to do with firmware or even having an sd card inserted.. try different things like holding power for 15 seconds, trying a different cable or usb port on your pc, even just restarting your computer

I don't think you can get into RCM while being bricked but maybe he's not bricked

Assuming nothing is wrong with the hardware (USB-C port still working properly) then he can enter RCM and inject a payload. So, it's time to boot hekate and restore his NAND backup. You did make a NAND backup, OP, right? RIGHT!?

If you switch isn't patched then. Use a new blank SD copy hetake and Atmosphère on it, inject hekate payload using any inject method you like.

For inject the payload:

Charge the switch fir 15 minutes minimum
Press power button by 30 secs
Put a jig on the right joycon rail
Press -vol button and simultaneously power button Conect to USB-C port a cable or an injection and inject hekate payload
Then press +Vol to enter a n NYX then on it you can restore any firmware backup you should have

Or try to boot Atmosphère from NYX

His switch is unpatched he literally said he already ran Atmosphere through RCM

On switch normally you get a soft brick, which is solved RESTORING a firmware backup.

For a hardware brick you will need a reapair shop

The first test is to try to load NYX. From there start others test to diagnose if is a full or a soft brick

That's what they've been trying to do this whole thread!!

Hey everyone, sorry for the late reply. I had read all the messages and first want to say thank you to all. I am new to this community but I plan on staying and hopefully helping others as well. Actually the "plug for 15 minutes, hold button for 30 seconds" worked and I was able to restore my NAND backup. I believe I know what bricked my console so I will try to downgrade my console now being more careful.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to downgrade? I don't think there's any advantages to being on earlier firmware than the latest, right now.

I am not a big fan of Atmosphere, very buggy for me. Wanted to downgrade to 10.0.0 as it was the last version supported by reINX. I was able to get it working and am on it right now. Although I cannot launch my switch normally ever now, so I have to boot into cfw each time so I can skip fuse check.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

In terms of the EmuNand, that is for sure noted. Appreciate the advice!!

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read. You downgraded to switch from the only CFW that currently works on all versions of firmware, and with all games/etc, to a completely dead CFW that current games will not work on?

Just, wow. Just wow wow wow.

You don't have to boot into CFW each time to skip the fuse check. You can use Hekate to load stock instead of CFW. Hekate bypasses the fuse check. The only one not bypassed would be the gamecart, or lotus, fuses.

You really, REALLY, should give Atmosphere a second chance. It's probably the (only) future for CFW on the Switch. It's not that hard to set up. If you have a good NAND backup made before you did any hack to your sysnand, you should be good. Just restore that backup, format your SD card to FAT32, and start from scratch, make an emunand with hekate, update it and install atmosphere plus sigpatches. I don't see how it could go wrong. Follow a good guide. Don't settle for a dead CFW. Don't be a second class citizen in the Switch CFW scene.
