It installs a fake news entry point on the system nand, that's why you don't need RCM.

Yea I know how it work, fakenews ain't enough to get you banned to be honest, but clean NAND would always be best, I used fakenews before with payo payo tetris.

So would I be better off making a clean emunand on a higher FW or just upgrading my sysnand and getting a jig?

You don't make a clean NAND, if you don't have one you don't have a clean NAND, clean NAND is needed to go back online, since you probably never been online on that unit it doesn't really affect you.

Probably meant re-cloning his clean sysNAND to emuNAND.

I load my payload using pegascape/fakenewshax. It goes straight into atmosphere.
And when do you get this message, if it boots straight into Atmosphere that means you aren't seeing the message?

I thought you said pega/fakenewshax wouldn't make my nand dirty? The only dirty thing on my sysnand is newshax.

I see the atmosphere message but unless I do what you told me to do with renaming the reboot file I don't go into hekate.

Clean NAND is referred as no homebrew/no backup. You won't really get banned for pegascape, fakenews, you can make another emunand if you want, if your boot fine leave it alone.

Huh? The Nyx message is from Hekate, when does it show up exactly?

I replaced the whole bootloader folder but someone else explained that the hekate you launch from tinfoil isn't the someone that is located in the bootloader folder.

Ah I see.
I don't know the answer to that but you need to use the Hekate payload that corresponds with the bootloader folder (from the same version), maybe Tinfoil is using an older version of the payload and you need to manually update it on the SD.
If you want to use Hekate I would suggest putting the Hekate payload as SD:\atmosphere\reboot_payload.bin and you will boot into Hekate instead of Atmosphere by default. Then you can set up hekate_ipl.ini to autoboot Atmosphere and you can always hold down Vol- during boot to cancel autoboot if you want to access Hekate features.
You can use this hekate_ipl.ini (goes in SD:\bootloader\hekate_ipl.ini) for Fusee autoboot.
To use it you must also place fusee-primary.bin in SD:\atmosphere
Code:
[config]
autoboot=1
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=5
verification=1
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=0

{-------- CFW -------}
[Boot CFW (fusee-primary)]
payload=atmosphere/fusee-primary.bin
logopath=bootloader/res/bootlogo.bmp
icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp
{}

Of course not the same if you got two different version of hekate in two different places, the root directory and bootloader folder is two different locations.

Thanks alot, this is extremely helpful. Why fuse-primary? Isn't secondary the default? I read somewhere that secondary has faster boot time for games.

Fusee Primary is the offiicial bootloader for Atmosphere, Hekate can chainload Fusee Primary or boot fusee secondary.
