I am sure the New 3ds and the New 2DS XL can run a more powerful emulator.

https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/BlargSnes
Are you saying that BlargSNES is a powerful emulator? If yes, you are wrong

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

installed latest version on new 3ds with latest luma, and no buttons working at all. tried all the settings. and one more thing. where is settings is stored? when i delete cia, and the install again, or run .3ds file, old settings pop up. very weird.
upd: it's me just stupid, all works
Settings on game appears when you open a rom, then touch the bottom screen and there you go.

And the settings file (snes9x_3ds.cfg) is stored on "sd:/3ds/snes9x_3ds/" path.

I’ve done a lot of testing of Retroarch cores using latest development builds. Even though SNES9X2005 / Plus have come a long way I think Bubbles emu is still the superior solution even for N3DS. The combination of performance and sound quality are tough to beat.

The same is not true for the standalone Genesis, NES and PCE emulators. The available retroarch cores outperform those standalone emulators.

Makes me realize what a black magic wizard Bubble2K16 is to have achieved the SNES performance he did.

Is the project still maintained by anyone? Are there plans to incorporate FateForWindows' fix into a compiled release, or am I out of luck? Even tried compiling it myself, but I can't find citro3d v1.0 for the love of it..

I don't suppose there's a way to make the auto save/load of save states be a per-game setting?

Basically there are some games I prefer to just rely on their battery save while other games don't even have a battery save, practically requiring the use of save states.

I tried getting this and other snes emulators to work on my r4ids.cn r43ds flashcard with non-modded New3DSXL. Do I need a new flashcard?

Can confirm this is the real deal. Not had the chance to test on my O3DS yet, but works nicely on my N3DS - Mario World runs at 60fps, bar small hiccups when loading data. Impressive stuff.

What version of Snes9x is this based on?
"It has a much high compatibility than existing SNES emulators on the 3DS because it uses Snes9x 1.43 as a base, and is a good alternative if your existing emulators cannot play all the games."
