I have a copy of the wii menu wad but i need to convert it to an iso. Apparently there used to be a program called "wad2iso" but it used an installer which no longer works. I've also heard that you can do this using "WBFS Manager" but doing that requires getting the .wad onto a WBFS formatted drive, which I currently have no way of doing. Any help would be appreciated.

Why exactly do you want to convert it to an ISO? Because what you're asking makes no sense.

I'm trying to edit the wii menu disc channel screen for a personal project, but I have no experience with wii romhacks and I figure there's more documentation on editing ISOs than WADs, but again I don't really know because I have no experience with this sort of thing.

If it's something cosmetic, have you looked into theme creation?
Can themes help me edit this screen beyond texture replacement? I want to remove the gamecube disc and move the wii disc to the center

Never heard of such a thing either, does the iso image can even boot?
I'm not sure, I'm planning on using it with dolphin though, not a real wii. Dolphin already boots the .wad just fine so I imagine converting it wouldn't change anything regarding bootability.

I don't think it can boot, even if you manage to change the wad file to a Wii game file structure it won't be recognized as either a channel or a Wii game. Also those channels are supposed to be run and are installed on your nand, and won't launch without it.

Even if you could convert it to ISO it probably wouldn't be a working ISO and I doubt you could convert it back to a working WAD. They're two completely different formats.
If you extract it with a tool such as ShowMiiWads, and locate the banner file, from there on it would be the same as editing the banner of an ISO as the banner format is the same.

This worked and I can now access the banner and edit it. Thanks for the help!
