It's highly unlikely that newer systems will be hacked with anything other than a hardware modification (like a TX modchip).

Probably not and my guess the new OLED model is probably glitch immune (how the core, lite and clone mod chips work) they (Nintendo) probably made the most secure console to date with only 2 hardware and 1 software entry point not to mention hacker one is flipping devs over to their side (as well as pushing a permanent NDA at them to prevent release

SAMD21 chips are open source, but it is only for unpatched unit only.

There is a 0% chance that this is the case. It's just like Mariko units were never going to get hacked, until they did. And PS4 was never going to get hacked past 5.5, until it was. Everything seems impossible until it happens.

Almost zero, due to how they patched it. USB communication is disabled completely in RCM mode on Mariko units.

There is one DEV out there with a jailbroken PS4 on the latest firmware. If you really think about it this gen was the gen that barely had any jailbreaks/mods because most of the mods got bought out or sued in the past or too scared to release anything... or they are tired of the complaining.

It looks VERY grim for next gen but we will see. I just hope the PS4 gets a permanent jailbreak at EOL.
