Hardware Switch Owerheating and Locking up

Hello!

I got brand new Switch Lite, and last night i was charging it and browsing the eShop. I downloaded some dome games, console went into sleep mode by it self.
I tryed to pres power but it wouldnt work, and the console was super hot, fan wasnt working. It lasted for about an hour. After that the console turned off by it self.

Can someone explain this weird behavior?

Just as you already mentioned, your fan might be broken.
If it is really a new Switch, then just send it back for repair.
The Switch has overheating protection so that is why it turned itself off.

Sounds like a faulty fan. Send it back and ask for a new one if possible.

Already sent, im expecting a call soon. Id probably get a new switch.
I dont think its a fan, it worked fine. The system just froze completly like it was dead, not the fan it self.

Overheating protection, really?? After an hour? Id say it's already overheated pretty well, it protected nothing imo.

i still dont understand how can it be a faulty fan when a whole system acted dead while it was owerheating in sleep mode.
Fan was working great, it went into sleep where ant it turned off till the system locked up and i couldnt wake it up anymore.

Yeah i send it, im hoping for a new system.

im just curious what could it be and similar experiences...
