Ik this has probably been asked before, but would it be possible to run Wii games on a New 3DS, either with a homescreen .cia or with a Luma firm that runs before most of the 3DS stuff?

Will never happen. The console can't even run PS2 from 2001. You need to have enough processing power to provide for the Wii and the system at the same time, but the New 3DS can't. If it can't run an older console, it can't run that one.

That's with all the 3DS stuff running in the background, which is why I mentioned using a Luma firm that starts before some of the 3DS stuff. Would that make it theoretically possible?

No. The New 3DS can't even emulate N64.
It can, I can run most N64 games on it

Well, unless you decompile the whole thing and recompile it for 3DS. That's what one team did with Mario 64.

Still no. If the specs of the 3DS aren't triple of it, then it wouldn't work. Even then, the display, system, and other things would need to be severely recoded to run it.

Are the specs triple of the Wii? I don't know the specs for either

Really? Can you link me to a 3DS compatible N64 emulator that can run most N64 games at decent speed?
Probably RetroArch Rearmed

Google is your mate. If you want to code it yourself you can, but this question has been answered everywhere else with a huge fat NO.

The Switch can emulate the Wii.

What is the difference between Retroarch 3DS and Retroarch Rearmed? I've never heard of it

So the specs need to be triple the numbers of the Wii's?

I said 'at decent speed'.
Games like SSB and Doom 64 run nicely on mine with frameskip setting 1

I mean. you yourself had posted on the last wii to 3ds thread that had went on.

The Wii is 729 MHz, and the N3DS is 804 MHz. It's totally impossible to emulate a system that is so close in clockrate. The PS1 is 34 MHz, and the N3DS still can't run all games at full speed, because clockrate is far from the only factor you have to consider in emulation. The 3DS will never emulate any system from generation 6 or later.

To emulate a system, you have to re-create the entire system very precisely in software. This takes a lot of memory and processing power to do, which the 3DS just doesn't have. There is a lot of overhead created in the process because you have to translate all the instructions into ones the 3DS can understand. There are optimizations you can do to help, but I doubt anyone would even get close to the Wii on it.

some games from N64, Gamecube, Wii and Wii U have remastered or ported to 3DS
Wii U : Captain Toad, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, Super Mario Maker
Wii : Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Extra Yarn, Rayman Origins
Gamecube: Luigi's Manison
N64: The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, StarFox 64

Also DS on Twilight Menu++ for 3DS Plus DS have some are remastered or ported
Wii: Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, New Super Mario Bros.
Gamecube: Viewtiful Joe
N64: Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing

Why didnt we get Super Street fighter IV or Dead or Alive on Wii U or even on Switch?? Thats pretty messed up. It seems N3DSXL have power

Corrections:
Wii U's "Captain Toad" is "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker"
Wii's "Kirby's Extra Yarn" is "Kirby's Epic Yarn"
Wii's "New Super Mario Bros." is "New Super Mario Bros. Wii"

Greetings
