My Wii used to work fine, but after not touching it for about 4-5 months or so, I tried to turn it on again. It IS hacked and it just booted into a black screen without doing anything. The wiimote (official) won't connect either (it does turn on), and it makes no difference whether I boot with or without the SD card. I looked up help on google and started Priiloader by holding the power and reset button, and although it loaded I had no way of controlling it since my wiimote wouldn't connect (I even tried holding the SYNC button on the console and remote but to no avail). The model is RVL-001. Any ideas on what happened and how to fix this?

You can control Priiloader with a Gamecube controller as well.

Assuming it's not a hardware issue and your Wii just needs a software fix, what you'll probably end up doing is re hacking your Wii using Priiloader to launch the softmod.

I don’t happen to have a gamecube controller...is there any other way to control priiloader?
Wii Remote won't sync in Priiloader or the Homebrew Channel -- only on the Health and Safety screen and the System Menu.

Latest Priiloader can be (minimally) controlled with the buttons on the console.
Better option: USB keyboard.

Both options are only available on Priiloader v0.9 or v0.9.1 (or at least one of the previous beta versions).
Older versions only leave the GC controller.
=====

It could be a hardware damage (Bluetooth and/or Wifi module). Please backup your NAND with BootMii before trying any software troubleshooting (which you can do with latest Priiloader or once you get a GC controller).

Good luck!

Got it, thanks!
