I think the worst dinner I had was sushi my wife and got from a “top rated” Asian restaurant in the small town I used to work in. The fish was still slightly frozen and freezer burned. It was impossible to keep my mouth for more than a few seconds and I did someone I not known to do and had to spit it out.

uncooked meat
That can actually be a good snack - y'know, ham, prosciutto, et cetera. Not exactly "dinner" material, though.

Also, don't British peeps call midday meals "dinner" and evening meals "supper"? I've certainly been confused by that before.
As for my "terrible dinner", my family went out to a pretty fancy restaurant for Dad's birthday last month - and, as per usual with "fancy restaurant", the menu was quite limited. I don't remember what my parents had, but the ravioli I got was a rather small serving, and I don't think my brother ate anything at all (very picky eater). The service was awful too, with the ~two waitresses not coming by a lot - and there was like one or two other tables occupied, so not at all "busy".
The first part of Dad's birthday celebrations - going putt-putting and playing arcade games - was far more entertaining and worthwhile than the food part.

Not on topic, but "disappointing lunch"? A couple of weeks ago, my Dad, my brother and I went out for a Sunday lunch together near Westfield or thereabouts. However, because we left it so late, the place we wanted to eat at was already closed, so we went looking for another restaurant. We found another place that looked good, but my goddamn picky brother vetoed it - so instead we had to go inside the shopping centre and order fast food (KFC for goddamn bro, sushi and the like for Dad and me) instead. Dad also bought a spring roll from the sushi stall, but he found it too greasy or something to be edible.
Goddamnit, bro...we could'a gone to an actual restaurant, you fussy brat! No idea where he got the pickiness from either, considering no-one else in our immediate or extended family is like that...

They get it from being catered to

If a picky eater is simply told he has to eat something or eat nothing - he will stop being a picky eater really soon

Maybe he will go a few days being picky, but after that survival instincts will kick in

This was my supper yesterday.
It was better than what it looked like.

But I still felt disgusting as a person after eating it.

Don't know about the rest of Britain but here in Scotland it goes.

Breakfast
Lunch
Tea (dinner time)
Supper (normally had about 10pm where we have a cup of tea/coffee and toast or biscuits)

Why we call dinner time Tea I have no idea :rofl2:

Ok yeah, can think of something that recently happened.

So we made Pozole. But the secret to make a really tasty broth is by cooking Bones, as Bone Marrow can add a lot of flavour.

So, instead of using Ribs or something else (pork) for the Pozole, Dad decided to use the head instead as it's traditionally what's used everywhere else.

I innocently asked for a piece of the head, and was given the part that's between the Cheek and the Nostrils of the pork.
It looked really nice.
But once I took a bite of it... picture this: Have you ever smelled the odor of Armpit Sweat?
Well... it tasted like that.
