Are there any portable power banks that give enough power for sys-clk to recognize it as an "Official Charger"?

I tried this one, which has USB-PD and is specifically designed for the Switch and is supposed to be able to output the same as the official charger, but sys-clk still just recognizes it as a "USB Charger"

EDIT: Figured out the problem. Can only do a maximum of 24W...

Are you using the latest release? Because that's the one Im using and it won't launch in applet or overide mode. Its literally the only homebrew that I havent been able to get working with 12.0
Sys-clk is a sysmodule, are you talking about its configuration app? If it doesn't work you can use the Tesla overlay instead.

Yeah, I was talking about the app. Ive never used tesla, I always adjusted it through the app. I'll download Tesla and see if it works. Thanks

Edit: I installed Tesla but when I launch it and go into sys-clk, it says Fatal Error sys-clk is not running. Please make sure it is correctly installed and enabled. Do you have any idea why this is?

Deleted due to many people using it on erista. compile it yourself

It's really frustrating that you deleted it, it's not your responsibility if people do idiotic things with their Switch, if it's not there, they will be making mistakes elsewhere.
You don't even explain how to make the mod ourselves so I don't see the point.
Personally, I'd like that at least you send me the modded sys-clk for my Lite.

Has anyone tested to see if the Nintendo certified Powercore 20,100mah battery allows for more than 768mhz on GPU? The non-Nintendo approved one looks largely the same albeit with a Nintendo logo, so I'd see not much reason for it to go beyond 768mhz.
Have I got some great news for you! And for past me!!

first the bad news, the Nintendo certified Powercore is only recognized as "USB Charger" so you can't go higher than 768 mhz on GPU. This is because it can only output up to 24W even with the USB-C PD port.

BUT!

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082PGS78L/

This can output 60W from the USB-C port. sys-clk will recognize it as an Official Charger if you're plugged into it.
The cable it comes with works fine for this. But it's only 1 meter (3.3 feet)

Here's a 2 meter (6.6 feet) cable, fully compliant with USB 3.2 gen 2 specs (5A, 100W, PD, 10 GBPS data): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MW1ZWP6/

If that's not long enough, there's this, but it's USB 2.0 data speeds and 60W output only (enough for sys-clk to recognize as Official Charger): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0832KMRLT/

Longer than that and you'll have to look into optical cables. you have fun with that nightmare lol

ehh good point, but it is pathetically easy so ehh, i digress.
it's easy for you, definitely not for everybody.
And honestly, even people like me who could learn it don't necessarily want to. it's definitely easier to just buy a charger that'll work with it. and easier on the battery, too

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Does anybody know what the maximum safe temperature is for the SoC? I know it'll shut down by itself if it gets too hot, but I can't find an actual number on what it considers "too hot"

Some games I'm overclocking can reach high 60's Celsius, and I'm curious how close I'm getting to it shutting itself down.

I'd much rather lower the overclock and have lower performance than risk the Switch shutting itself down before I've had a chance to save, or in the middle of a save!

Thing is , the videos work fine in the Edge Dev and Canary builds. But whatever the fix they made was, has never been pushed to Beta or Stable builds. Its been that way for as far back as I tested. Which was Edge 84. They are on 125 now.

@RedColoredStars, Yeah, and I was in quite a mood at that time. I would consider choosing Firefox or Opera instead, been using Firefox for over 7 years now than Chrome.

Tried contacting Nintendo to see if they can reach out to MS about it. But Nintendo said the videos are working fine. Without enough people saying no, they don't work fine, it will never get fixed.

I have Firefox and used it for many years. But Edge runs noticible faster on my pc at both opening and loading pages.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
I don't think Nintendo will know anything about troubleshooting Edge. They mostly do technical support regarding their console family.

Right. But they could create a ticket that gets forwarded to the proper team. I think Nintendo would care that their videos aren't working on a major browser
