There's possibly more Borderlands on the way for the Nintendo Switch, joining the already existing Legendary Collection, as a PEGI rating has appeared online. The European ratings board has given Borderlands 3: Director's Cut a classification for the Switch, almost certainly confirming the existence of the game, with an official reveal expected to come from 2K Games fairly soon. Borderlands 3's Director's Cut is set to add extra story content, missions, and areas to explore, and is planned for launch later today, on other platforms.

Might as well complete the collection for the Switch. Honestly, I'm pretty surprised it wasn't ported to the Switch sooner. It's odd that they ported 1, 2, and Pre Sequel but not 3.
well its mostly cause BL3 is a hard game to run on the switch. the reason why 1, 2, and TPS were ported was to cause they are a bit older now. tbh I'm surprised by the thought of people attempting a port. the others I can see why, but 3 sounds dang near impossible to me unless they make the visuals very trashy.

I mean, I was not sure why this wasn't announced earlier.
UE4 ports are pretty good on Switch.
yeah, but BL3 has some optimization issues. I can see it possible by optimizing the code more and downgrading the visuals some yes, but only then I could see this working. as BL3 stands right now I cant see it being playable like 1, 2, and TPS

I applaud for people who really wants it but don't have PS4. Now they have an opportunity to get it for Nintendo Switch.

Well lets be honest here borderlands 3 didn't do so well. I paid like $10 for it on Xbox One however it's good to see the switch is getting some love. I did buy borderlands legacy collection on the switch for $20

Since this article has been published the rating for the switch has dissappeared so either a mistake or a company has requested removal.

I can’t wait for that 5-15 FPS goodness. It will make Donkey Kong 64 feel fluid by comparison.

I say this as the base PS4 and Xbox One games still have major performance issues and are unplayable to me. The Switch is substantially less powered and I can’t see the port being that well optimized if the optimizations of the game on base systems was bad.

It's apparently a mistake and 2k games have said they aren't working on a Switch version.

Aw, that's sad. Honestly, I'd love to see it on the Switch too. I'm still currently playing BL2 and hopefully I will get to finish it then move on to Pre-Sequel then to this if ever it will get a release date. Maybe it'll get crappy frames but leave it to the community to fix it or the new and enhanced upcoming Switch Pro or something will improve its performance. That is still something to look forward to.
