As long as SX is free the community will be a lot more apt for something like this. The main gripe was they are making money off stolen code. Now it's free. So the Frankenstein OS might happen. It's also reduces the stigma for the scene in general to develop a XCI type loader on it's own. Developers have told me in the past it would be easy to make but there is no reason for it. Once the masses have a taste there might be a reason. Who knows? No more money. Unless TX revives and makes another killer feature. Soft mod a Mariko with no chip and it's on..

Use the fingerprint from the switch that you got the valid licence from. Tested on firmware 11.0.0 (don't use 11.0.1), and patch SXOS 3.10.

FYI, it seems tinfoil has some sort of check for the licence as I am getting this using the hacked SXOS (works OK on non hacked SXOS)

This patch not replace all the fingerprint used by sx os license check.
If it replace all of the fingerprint used by sx os, there is no need to patch rommenu and tinfoil will work fine.

I never understood why given the option one would prefer to install their games instead of running them straight of a file, by installing it you are essentially making a copy of a copy, to me it's a waste of time and space. Anyway this all looks good now, but what if TX comes out with a new version with support for the latest firmware that also 'patches' this hack, we never know.

They never preffered installation. It was free. Also they don't have accurate information about SX as well. You kinda have to dig for it. Auto Loader allows you to bypass the SX menu all together and run games from their game icons in the horizon menu as long as you launch them once. Most people think you need the SX menu everytime, for example. Or the common no USB in handheld misconceptions. Common gripes that just wouldn't be there if information was free flowing and accurate.

As far as if there is an update, then the newly addicted SX guys will have to pony up $30, rehack it or stay where they are.

Could wind up being a good thing for TX. The first taste is free.

In theory, yes they could and have place brick code before in their firmware for the switch.
But it would be found faster than a squirl can shit a nut. So I highly doubt they would ever do it again. But who knows for sure!

My little present for you all: fingerprint + license of one of my sx modded switches. I assume this has nothing to do with anything nintendo, not even TX code or IP, just a license, this are numbers from MY paid SX license. Can someone return the favour and create a patched 3.1.0 boot.dat for us all ?

NOTE: I included a screenshot of the SX OS menu showing the fingerprint, but wrote it to fingerprint.txt too. If for some reason the screenshot is a problem, we can remove it.

^^^ Just patched boot.dat using this fingerprint, can confirm it definitely 100% works for me now, including XCI loading
But I don't think we're allowed to upload any pre-patched boot.dats as per this sticky thread. Although I'm sure it'll be uploaded to the other usual places that tolerate it.
