Someone did call SX OS crappy, and that was uncalled for. People are allowed to choose between atmosphere and SXOS and there was no need to put down any CFW.

Only one member of TX is even in custody currently, Gary is awaiting trial, Chen was never found (afaik), and Max hasn't been extradited yet. They were the only people mentioned in the indictment but there's more than 3 member of TX even if they were all arrested. It's my understanding that the reason the websites keep going down is because Gary was managing them and now they just come back online when someone in China notices that they're down (second hand information so it might be incorrect). We know TX haven't given up on SXOS because it received an update around Christmas. They're probably just trying not to draw too much attention to themselves right now when there's no need to.

If you want to keep up to date you can get court documents from PACER but you have to pay a small fee for each document you access. Last I heard Gary waived his right to a speedy trial for some reason and hasn't had much contact with his lawyer due to Covid.

Also I don't see anyone talking about TX's utilities getting updated. A while ago, after they were arrested, the SX Gear boot.dat was updated to support the SX Core and SX Save Manager has had several updated published which are available in various places (but on the official site for some reason). I have been beta testing SXSM 1.2-C.

In my personal opinion Atmosphere is better than SXOS from a developer perspective but for the average person who doesn't know a lot about computers SXOS is just easier to use. Most people on GBATemp are technically literate and surround themselves by people who use computers a lot, they don't realize just how little the average person knows about computers, that is TX's target audience.
