Weird, I tried with my carts and all my legit ones worked while my repros gave the exact same error you sent above, so maybe it was just bad contact or something before...

And yeah two GBAs is likely your best bet... Its unlikely that any tools will even be able to dump a usable save file from the repro as I did mess around a bit with that on mine before and they still identify as using a "FLASH1M_" save, but are actually something else which causes dumping tools to just dump garbage... I was able to trade using my repros back when I used them though iirc.

Yeah, I've traded using a link cable with repros before, but everyone I know who had a GBA has sold it or moved recently. Hm.

Can I transfer Pokemon from leaf green to fire red without link cable?

Can I transfer pokemon from gen 3 to gen 4 without migration?

are the Pokemon considered normal in pokemon home?

Can you bring pokemon back from gen 5 to gen 3?

Yes to all ;P
You can transfer from any gen 3 - gen 5 to any gen 3 - gen 5, going forward a generation should always be the same as doing it in game, going backwards can potentially cause Pokémon to become illegal though. Also Pokémon generated in app or significantly edited might get rejected by Bank / Home unless make sure everything's set right, but moving or minor edits are likely to be fine.

Thanks for you amazing work with this HB. I play in 3DS with an R4i SDHC. Which one do you recommended instal? the .cia or the .nds in the R4?
You'll need to use the .nds on the flashcard itself, when using the .cia you can only access the internal SD card (and Acekard 2(i/.1) and R4 Ultra's SD cards, but only those flashcards)

I see, thanks, i´ll try it.

hello~
Is it also available for ds lite?

If possible

When I move the Pokemon in the gba cartridge through the flashcard,

How do I move it to the 5th generation ds cartridge?

It does work on DS Lite, however you cannot use DS cartridges on DS Lite. You can transfer from a generation 3 save to the chest (on the top screen), then transfer that to a generation 5 save on the flashcard, but you'll need to use a DSi from the internal SD if you want to use it with an actual generation 5 cartridge unfortunately...

Oh yes...

Thanks :)

I am using .nds version on my dsi. Place it on the root of my sd card, after lunch I ended up with this error message. I am not sure if I installed in correctly but please help.

Try with the latest release, the nightly builds are rather broken recently as I've been testing some things but not actually gotten around to making it stable.

idk what's going on but it keeps running in japanese mode when I launch it from within twilight menu on my dsi. My dsi itself is a japanese console, but i pressed Y and went into the settings and set it to run in english but it still isn't working for me. any ideas, anyone???

I don't think that TWiLight's language setting affects homebrew when using direct boot, but you can change it easily within pkmn-chest, as described on this wiki page.

I'm having trouble loading...err... using the application. I'm on a SUPERCARD DSTWO Plus, on a DS Lite. I want to use it as a pseudo Pokemon Box RS, but when I try to launch it, I get a loading screen that just spins forever (with the little Pokeball chest animation.)

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I launched it by having both the Pokemon Emerald cart in (legitimate) and the flashcard. Thanks in advance.

Edit: apparently I'm stupid. It worked just fine when launching without a cart in slot 2.

It should be as simple as just putting the pkmn-chest.nds file onto your flashcard's microSD card and loading it. If that throws an error then you might also need to either load it through HBMenu/TWiLight Menu++ or put a copy at "fat:/_nds/pkmn-chest/pkmn-chest.nds"

Details are on the wiki page: https://github.com/Universal-Team/pkmn-chest/wiki/getting-started

thanks for reply. when I put the pkmn-chest.nds file onto your flashcard's microSD card and loading it, the screen braks into loading msg.when I use YSMenu.nds to start TWiLight Menu++ and after that start pkmn-chest.nds I got the error msg:warning std:bad_alloc.
I have a copy of it at "fat:/_nds/pkmn-chest/pkmn-chest.nds" and in the root of my sdcard.
do you have any other help?
