My SD card is full and I want to use a second one, too (meaning I want to keep using also the first one, swapping them, depending on which game I want to play).
In order to make the second card work I know that I can just copy and paste the whole content from the first card.
I have a doubt regarding the installed games. What is the best way to prepare the second card?
Should I just delete the content of the "Nintendo" folder?
Or should I uninstall the games? (I guess this method will mess up the system information saved in the internal memory in regards of when I use the first card).
Any suggestion? (Don't tell me to buy a bigger card and just use that one).

I see no issues with what you want to do. The installed games will just not work and it will tell you to install them if you try to run.

Do you mean I can just delete the whole content of the "Nintendo" folder in the second card?

I'm assuming you have an SD card that's less than 128GiB but for sure 256GiB, if so just get a 256GiB at minimum and transfer everything to the new card and be on your way, way less headache

You should get a bigger SD card size, keep swapping SD card would kill that SD card slot over time from constant ejecting.

I guess you didn't read the last sentence of my first message :P
I have 2 512GB cards (paid 80€ in total) and I am surely not going to spend 200€+ for a 1TB one.
I will not swap the cards so often.

You are assuming wrong. See my previous message.

Your choice mate, It is from previous threads that people who constantly take out their SD card killed their SD port connector on the motherboard from the constant ejecting and pushing the SD card back in. Don't cry when your SD card connector died.

I wrote that I will NOT constantly swap the cards.
If you don't have any valid suggestion in regards on what I precisely ask, please don't reply.

Lol make me:rofl2:, don't get upset when I'm offering advice. Beside what rmorris003 said is true, it will throw a cloud icon over your game when you swap SD card.

Just copy all contents from 1st sd card to 2nd sd card, except for the "Nintendo" folder...simple. Now this only aplies tho if your not using Emunand!

Would you not get upset if you go to the restaurant and order lasagne and the waiter brings you salad telling is more healthy? :teach:
Btw, I will try deleting the Nintendo folder content. Unless somebody else has a better advice.

That is my idea too. I hope it doesn't mess up any link to the games library in the system.

Why would you keep swapping sd card? Or Why would you download many games that you can't even finish first?

Because I just want to! :D

It won't mess up anything, I use this process. It will still show all the game titles but will show the game is not availible on this sd card.
As a sidenote: I use Hekate Toolbox in homebrew menu to reboot and change sd cards without using jig or payload injector. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks. Did you completely deleted the Nintendo folder or empty it?
I just never copied that "Nintendo" folder over to pc....when you insert into switch with new sd card it will create the "Nintendo" folder itself anyways.

Did you understand that I need all the homebrew stuff in the second card except the games of the first card?
Should I delete the Nintendo folder or leave it empty?

If you simply want to mirror your first card, but without the actual switch games, then yes, just copy entire card except the "Nintendo" folder.
The "Nintendo" folder is only the actually switch games installed...nothing else.
So yes just delete the "Nintendo" folder on second card....
