I'm still using a hard mod with the ps2. I bought a new ps2 and modchip about three years ago. the first system and modchip failed after about 12 years, which I guess is pretty good for something I rarely played. I don't want to softmod a ps2, because I have over 300 discs. it's way too much work. I've tested a few discs, and they still work. :D

I have over 700 games on the wii, most are probably crap. I think I have most of the wiiware titles, because I downloaded iso's wiiware database. it has each region for most of the games. I just injected all of the usa ones. it contains the dlc for the games too, so I did that as well. I originally had issues getting dlc to be read. it's either the cios for the vwii that's the problem with wiiware/vc games or dlc (can't recall which), but you have to use a different FAT library, so it's just copy and replace before installing cios. it has to do with using ustealth and wiiware content. someone fixed the bug, but it's not part of the official build. that did work for me. I also added a vwii theme later on using Matt Kimura's tutorial and iosu hax and wup server. I think I've done every mod on the wii u except for patching ios 80 to play games from an sd card officially. it's pretty pointless considering we have emunand and neek.

neek2o isnt compatible with the SNEEKInstaller ?
afaik, neek2o on the vwii is a leaked version, so you have to find the files.
Yes, that's what I meant, I don't know if neek2o r96 would work on vWii by using vWii IOS80 instead of Wii IOS70.
I didn't test it, and I don't remember if anyone did. I think it requires the updated neek2o files to work on vwii.

As for the regular Wii's neek2o, it works fine with neek installer. that's what I'm using (by providing needed files manually now the links are dead)

do you know which file('s) in the trunk would give me this info ?
(or even state the required files and programs to compile it )

in the changelog it says vwii stuff like nswitch . i would like to have the experience to build it and have the knowledge of where to find the build info in the trunk if it exists.

Commited by OverjoY on August 9
- Removed SNEEK2o files
- Batch files for building will now skip patching the kernel (NOTE: nswitch v6.0 or higher is needed to boot the unpatched kernel)
- nswitch:
- If needed nswitch will now patch the kernel for HWAccess and verbose output and will save it in "usb:/sneek/". IOSKpatch by Crediar is obsolete now. (NOTE: nswitch is still able to use a patched kernel)
- WIP:
- Cleanup fs
- Adding some new features to fs

I wouldn't say I'm an expert at neek. I did use @Cyan 's help getting it working, because before I had all these files:

I think it's wii and vwii sneek. I later found I only needed vwiikernel.bin, di.bin (optional), and font.bin. that's what's in my sneek folder on usb except a few more files that I think it created when I boot up neek the first time. they all have about the same timestamp, so I assume as such. booting into neek via features in usb loader gx and using a game that's tied to neek -- both work without issue. when you exit out of a neek game via usb loader gx, I think Cyan said reload to (usually goes back to usb loader gx for anything but neek) is what causes the system to reboot or go back to wii u mode. that is normal.

or if on wii you need the kernel thats there instead of the vwiikernel thats also there..
looks like its just setup for everything like usbloader style , not really a oneekdi style setup

you can get a red font.bin too

I don't think I have that red font.bin anywhere. it's just white text iirc. here's mine. this is just when I used my emunand, not the neek one, so it has lots of channels:

take the 'r' out and replace your font.bin

looks nice on red vWii menu

https://code.google.com/archive/p/gadget4sneek/downloads

you can see there what some of the other tools in the folder you have are
kenobigc.bin for GameCube
kenobiwii.bin for wii cheat

thanks. I put it in my sneek database folder. I think I might only have uneek2o, as you can see in the photo. I don't have normal vwii neek (I don't think). I think the kernel.bin might be for wii, but I'm not sure. it's not the one I made.
the font bin is for neek ..doesnt matter neek2o or regular

just the overlay menu text changes color .. i have a few , white or red are the only tolerable ones

that's not actually what I meant. I meant comparing the neek2o menu with neek itself. neek2o's menu is a bit buggy as you can see in the photo. it does say it's a beta. I don't know if there were several versions that leaked, but that's the only version I have. r96, I think. even though the menu is glitchy, it works perfectly. I don't normally boot into neek. I just installed the games that need neek to the neek nand, then tie it to the games' settings. you have to install it to both emunand and neek, because usb loader gx can only display one emunand at a time. it will make the game show up, then you tie it to neek in the games' settings to use neek2o. I learned that from @Cyan . I still have the wiiware database:

is that what this folder is for?

upload_2021-3-10_14-40-16.png

it has a bin folder inside, but it's empty. the other files seemed to have been created when first booting neek.
