Oh shit, I had no idea. This is life changing, thanks.Kind of, even without homebrew. There is a way to change the button mapping system-wide with the new firmware.
You can even do that for a specific controller only.

https://switch.homebrew.guide/Hi,
I hope I'm right here. My switch is hackable, and I just want to be able to play my "backup" games, nothing else (no retro-emulation, movei watching, etc.). What I'm looking is a fool (=me) proof way to mod my Switch.
I found a tutorial on youtube with hekate and then something happened and I had to start all over again and lost all my save games. Is there a way to do this super simple? I believe Hekate is where you can choose more custom firmwares which I don't need.
tl;dr:
So I am basically looking for the easiest guide - like I said I just want to play games and that's it.
Thanks so much for your help.
cheers
Could you try and get minecraft running on switch? You just have to somehow get arm java running under horizon and compile the extra libaries minecraft uses.Hi,
Not sure if this is the place to ask this: I'm an experienced developer (10+ years with a wide range of languages) and a history of working on open source projects. I've never developed for the Switch and I would like to join a project which is active and in need of some extra hands, specifically in code generation and development.
So, if anyone is part of a project which would benefit from an extra dev, please let me know.
p.s. I was considering working on that openMW port, but it seems abandoned and being a novice with switch dev I don't think I could revive alone.

They recommend you use sdsetup.Hi guys, I have a quetion. I have Kosmos installed on my Switch, which, I think, was discontinued. How can I pass to another custom fw, now?
And which all in one solution can I install? Should I install Deep Sea, for example?
Thanks for helping (especially for the first question)!!
Thanks... is there a step by step guide to follow? They recommend you use sdsetup.
OK, never mind this post, I managed to do everything and now I have passed to Deep Sea.Thanks... is there a step by step guide to follow?
I initially hacked it sending payload with TegraRCM gui a couple of years ago and I don't remember which guide I have followed back then
Great, thanks! With android phones, can I send the payload wirelessly or do I need an otg cable? There are RCM Loaders on the market, you can find them on sites like AliExpress. Most Android phones can send payloads too with an app. Besides that, there is no way to do this except for some hardmod stuff that is too much work for such a little advantage.
