So I recently put Luma3DS on my New 3DS XL (SD Card 200gb) and installed 10 games today only to find that three pieces of software had vanished from my homescreen. When I go to the eshop to re-download I find it saying that I already have them on my system, but when I go to storage in system settings I can only see one of the titles that was deleted. So if one of them is still there I assume they all might be. It's all backed up anyway, but this is an annoying and unnecessary quirk. Any ideas what can be done to fix this or maybe avoid future issues like this?

What exactly have you done so far with your console? Do you have more games and badges on your home menu?

in system settings software, does it show those titles in question or just the one?
I could only find the one out of three that are surely gone. There may even be more that have disappeared outright, but I am referencing a screenshot of icons on my menu that doesn't include everything. There are blank spots in folders now too, but I had no screenshots of them.

There is your problem the 3ds has a 300 title limit once you go over that it starts removing previously installed titles.

You will need to use this to have more than 300 titles
Wow thanks! Wish I knew that before I started installing stuff onto my system. Is there a way I can retrieve what has been deleted? Or do I need to go back and replace everything from my backup?

Start FBI then select titles it will take a few minutes to load everything you will find your missing titles are still there. Now delete a few titles you can do without and the missing ones will reappear on the 3ds main screen.

Thanks, I feel at ease now knowing that I won't need to jump through complicated hoops to restore everything. The games I lost launch fine from FBl, but rather than delete other titles I may consider the other option that lifts the annoying 300 title limit.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
