I've had it once, and I have two friends who have each had it. A large amount of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab did the trick on all of them, at least for now.

I have the weirdest experience of Joy-Con drift. It only is noticeable in Among Us when my Switch is undocked but it's PERFECTLY FINE when I play Among Us docked or any other game undocked/docked.

it's not that big of deal. Either you send it back to Nintendo free of charge (even out of warranty) or you change the stick. It's a faulty design, but easy to fix for cheap (or for free)

Had 3 left joycons develop drift
That's ridiculous Nintendo has horrible quality control.

i fixed my replacing the whole stick not that hard to do.
It shouldn't have to be this way. It makes sense if you had the joycons for years but not this early.

I had drift in the first year on my left joycon.

People have got drift again after repairs. Nintendo will need a redesign.

We can't keep sending to Nintendo for repairs everytime drift happens, super inconvenient and the service won't last forever.

I put a new option.

"Joycon drift again after repairs on same controller"

Hi...I have repaired 2 of my joy cons from drift. Bought a simple repair kit from Amazon for £10 and repaired them both. Mine were not in warranty so I had nothing to lose. There is a video on this site somewhere which helped me actually.

Joycon drift is a huge issue, and nintendo refuses to aknowledge it. I struggle to comprehend how nintendo refuses to listen to their fans - yknow- the people who will actually buy the products.

I got the joycon drift and just bought cheap chinese knock-off stick on ebay for 2$ and replaced the stick of both my joycons.

At the end I have bought 3 sticks (one for the right, two for the left) and they are.. surprisingly better than the original one ?

I also have fixed the joycon of a friend for free, I don't think he got an other joycon drift after that.

It's not hard, go watch a youtube tutorial, it will save you a LOT of money.

Happened to me while out to sea (so not able to see gaming sites or YouTube). Didn’t quite know how to disconnect the battery, so I de-pinned the connector so I could take it apart and fix it. Well... when pushing the pins back in, I quickly discovered 2 things. 1) I was putting them in backwards. 2) There is no onboard protection on these things for reverse current.

problem is solved now. Had to buy a new set of joycons :hateit:

I've had it, my wife's switch has had it (even though she plays occasionally), I've repaired lots of friends joycon's for this same issue and I've had the issue come back after a year or so of the initial repair in one of my joycons.

I've had Joy-Con drift as well as another issue where a Joy-Con would frequently disconnect while attached to the Switch. It's all left me very frustrated, exhausted, and soured with the entire Switch experience. I will pretty much only play docked now and even then, one of my Pro Controllers started drifting. At least that seems to be fine for the time being after blowing in and around the stick with compressed air.

My daughter's standard Switch does have it. Left joycon. Link walks right off the cliff. Ended up buying new joycons for it.

My wife and I both have Switch Lites. No drift.

I have 6 joycon pairs, a Hori d-pad one and a pro controller. The left joycon of one of those pairs drifted, and I replaced the stick, and it is working fine now. The Hori joycon with D-Pad is drifting, and I did nothing about it (cant calibrate third party controllers).

The right joycon from the same set of the defective stick one has other (minor) problem: the indicator lights do not work.

The other joycons and the pro controller are working fine.

In the end I think Nintendo will get substantial defeats on court, because the issue is real.
