Hardware Pro controller dead?

So I got a pro controller in a bundle and it is completely dead.
I was hoping it was just a bad battery as it uses a 3ds battery but not the issue.
I've tested the volts /amps but it's not reading anything.
I've had a good search but not found any similar issues.
Any pointers would be great

Ok start checking resisters and caps and replace any bad ones

Fuses if they don't beep when touching both sides replace it
