Hi,

I'm trying to update the modchip firmware with the USB.
I have connected only the modchip (disconnected from the switch) and it power on with a green led but, when I push the update button after checking the correct COM port, I receive always this error:

SX Core/Lite is not connected

I have tried on many computers and many USB ports but nothing change, always the same error message.

Please, anyone can explain me how to solve the problem?

Thanks

Because I'm not sure my current FW 1.3 is good.
When I has boot the Switch, SXOS asked me to update the firmware, I pushed the continue button, SXOS has upgraded the FW and it has told me to power off. After the power off the touch screen has stop working.
I don't know if the FW has not been written ok, for this reason I want to try to rewrite it.
Maybe is not a FW problem, but I don't know and I have no more ideas...

Isn't there an option to reflash the same version of firmware to chip manually in SX OS? Its under sx core tab.

Yes, but how can I reach this menu without a working touch screen?
I only had to run the updater app on my pre-ordered Lite chip.

It was installed when I ran the updater app. Have you tried different cables? There's quite a few power only micro usb cables out there. Also make sure the ribbon is facing the right way. The "up" part should be on the same side as the metal backing of chip.

You should hear the windows sound and the chip should turn on when plugged up.

And now that I type this, I also connected the debug usb on my Mariko unit as well. That one was also already installed. I have not tried to flash the chip by itself.
