Gaming VR keeps resetting after ending the session

My VR in CTGP-R keeps bugging. It keeps resetting to 4500. It's fine during that session, but if I click "quit game" my VR goes back to 4500. It sucks because even if I get to 4800 VR (from 4500)...after that session, I'm back to 4500. Why is this happening? I'm using the latest CTGP-R with Wiimmfi Worldwide.

Are you booting from Riivolution with "Copy MKW save to SD card" on?

I'm booting from the CTGP-R channel without copying the vanilla save, but the CTGP save is on the SD card.
