hi

yesterday i downloaded and installed tinfoil on my switch for the first time
i tried it, looked for option etc ...
then i go back for sx installer and curiously sx installer didnt work and display an error msg
it seems that the program had been corrupted
so i decided to reinstall sx installer
and guess what ! my sx os boot file seems to becorrupted too

no problem to get all back to normal

but i was wondering
as i hear sx_installer got stolen code from tinfoil
is there a way that dev of tinfoil added code to nuke sx_ insaller ? and sx os ?
or i missing something ?

Has nothing to do with stolen codes or a war. Was probably just a bad download of the files, outdated versions, or your sd card needs formatting.
The person behind Tinfoil actually welcomes/recommends sxos. Both of them are running fine for me although I don't see any usefulness from sxinstaller anymore. Tinfoil is just better

SX Installer is just a rebranded tinfoil, done by the dev of tinfoil himself.
You're seeing links where there aren't any and the reason for your problem is likely just a corrupted sd card.

Tinfoil unlocks SX features if you have an SX OS license. Tinfoil without a SXOS license is not better than sx installer. It is a lot better with a SX OS license (even on atmosphere with SX OS license).

For some reason my SXinstaller isn't loading any browsers I add that I used in Tinfoil. So I basically just have basic functions that Tinfoil has without any browsers such as HBG for an example.

Exfat and fat32 issues must be isolated incidents. I’ve been using exfat (since 4.0.0) on sxos and haven’t had any card trouble. I did have trouble with my reader, but I replaced that. I also use tinfoil.

You don't have to reinstall anything. You can backup the contents of your whole sd to your computer, reformat the card and copy everything back on, done. Waiting until everything corrupts causes much more trouble.
