Hardware Left joy con up button jamming?

Hey, figured I'd pop this question to someone more familiar since I can't seem to find an answer.

Okay, so I just finally decided to replace my left joy con stick to hopefully get rid of the drift and I follow step by step to take it apart and now I'm getting it back together the directional pad buttons click until I try to screw the midframe back in(I've even tried not to do it too tight) and for some reason all the direction buttons are clickable but the up which just keeps being...jammed?

I'm impressed I got this far since it's the only thing stopping me getting it back together and this ain't my forté but this is getting super frustrating. Ain't there like a pad between the motherboard and buttons or something? Idk wth is up.

Idk, but as a start I would try unscrewing the shell then screwing it back together. Maybe it's an easy fix and the button just got kind of stuck? Might need to wiggle the board a little to make sure it's in the right place.

That's what I figured(tryna wiggle the motherboard which I've tried slightly) but I got the ribbons back in and ain't tryna mess with those again unless I need to, ha. I probably won't try it again til I get off work this evening so wanted to ask if there was something between the motherboard and buttons that I'm missin' and could cause it. ‍
