Yes is possible, just change the title id of the game you wanna install... How to do it, well maybe someone else can help with it, cause i dunno how. :ninja:

@Dionicio3 Idk about OP but personally, I wanted two copies of Devil Survivor: Overclocked (USA) because one was undubbed but my NTR plugin didn't work (tried USA, EU and JPN plugins but no luck, weird) for that one for some reason. But it did share the same Title ID as the regular DS: O so I ended up uninstalling it, installing the regular version, using a cheat for Maccah and leveling some of my weaker chars, but I didn't have all of them unlocked so I didn't want to switch back to the undubbed version. If I did switch back, it would mean endless hours of grinding and I'd just rather not :rofl2:

@cearp ty for posting that guide and tyvm to @ihaveamac for creating it, appreciate ya

I realize this is an old thread, but this is the first result on google when looking for info on this - this is useful for a lot of reasons, for those curious; multiple saves, for instance. I was looking into this because I have physical cartridges of Pokemon Moon in both English and Japanese, but after building them as CIAs and installing them, they both have the same TID, so whichever is installed second overwrites the first.

I'm posting here to help add some more keywords in the hopes that others looking for this info will be able to find it more easily.

after messing around for like an hour, i discovered an actual super effective way of doing this for any lurkers that found this thread through google like i did.

install 3dsbank through this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-3dsbank-nintendo-3ds-folder-selector.516996/page-5#post-9182317 and then just install whatever second copy to the separate 3ds folder!

Haha, I was just thinking about this last night, I'm so glad there's a simple solution after all this time. :P

3dsbank is what i was going to suggest as well -but im still curious why you might want to do this? Unless it is for a game that only allows 1 save file.... or something.

For me personally, I'm studying other languages, and a good tool for effectively learning a new language is immersion. One tool I wanted to experiment with was taking something I'm familiar with, for instance Pokemon Moon, and having it installed in both English (for regular play) and Japanese, Korean, or whatever other language. Each regions' game cart has the exact same ROM on it, I have purchased the game from multiple regions and attempted to dump them but they just result in the same file.

The language itself is determined purely by which one you pick from the menu before you start the game, and as the game only allows one save, the only way I was able to find to do this outside of editing my ROMs was save-juggling with checkpoint, which is a hassle and gets confusing if I haven't used it in a while.

I realize this is a fringe usecase, but this is what I was looking for it for.

EDIT: to clarify, when I say they resulted in the same file, I don't mean the same file name. They're exactly the same ROM in every way, the only difference is the sticker on the plastic.
