I see possible uses for such a tool but am not sure if there's even a temp sensor build in... There seems to be a sensor in the balance board and the Wii motion plus to correct temperature shift but the console itself seems to be sensor free...

Wii U is not a hot running console and since it can't be overclocked anyway it seems rather pointless.

It can detect overheats and shut down before thermal damage - which can happen thanks to blocked ventilation. Swiss has thermal readouts on GameCube just because it's possible. Maybe the Wii U isn't precise enough though.

That’s my thought, so if it can detect there must be a sensor to track CPU thermal
