Hacking create Template for blue button sky3ds ourself

not sure but it seems either the program can't handle how the rom is patched or the rom itself is a bad dump. Can the patched rom be played on GW? Also check if the template can be generated before applying the patch so we can know where the problem is. Not sure how all the template stuff works so can't offer much help, sorry.

the rom converted in cia works fine, and the non-patched version of the .3ds is already on the official sky3ds template, (eur kingdom hearts dream drop distance), just the patched version dont let me write it in my sd. Maybe the tool is just for official games with ap patch. I just wanted to know if i could use my old sky3ds blue button for test my .3ds before convert them, just like a gateway because of luma's sign patch

theoretically it should be a gw equivalent with this program and sig patch. but it seems not all cases can be handled.

Wow this actually worked. Tested with Kirby Planet Robobot (which has no template and has AP) and seems to work on blue Sky3DS using luma. Thank you.

Can you help me out? I also tried to get Kirby Planet Robobot running using this tutorial, but had no luck. What FW are you running in your 3DS? Are you using some softmod hack to get it running?

The first post states "only CFW can run it" and the post you quoted specifies "using Luma". So yes, using a softmod hack.

download template_tools.zip
put rom together
run Parse.bat
then get the parsed.txt
copy it to the template.txt
then use DiskWriterV203b4 write

important thing
if rom is ap check
you must modify rom before write
use winhex open rom
go to 0x000001fe change 03 to 00
then go to 0x00000207 change 40 to 00
save
then use DiskWriterV203b4 write
only cfw can run it ofw can not see game icon just white

Please I need some help, I want to play Animal Crossing New Leaf Welcome Amiibo with the Sky3ds, but when I play after a while the screen goes black and I have to turn off the console, it happens to me with the loading screens and I think it's the fault of the template, could someone make me the template? I know you explained it well but it doesn't work for me.

Why not? Mod the 3ds and do whatever you want. The chance to brick it through the installation is 0% because the installation process were very simplified in relation to a9lh earlier. You don't have to downgrade the 3ds, no need for the otp.bin etc. Follow this. It is up to date and contains everything you want to know.

You install the .cia with FBI. And you start it through the home menu. And no, you don't need an emunand. Luma patches your sysnand already and disables the signatures.

In case no one else has mentioned it, the one drawback to the sky3ds (I have orange one) is it can not play CIA format, meaning you can not put the download-only game on it, unless you can convert them to .3ds format, I haven't seen done/pretty sure can't be done, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

So .Cia for Cfw and .3ds for Sky... also CFW on 3ds/2ds can convert between the two. Something no one mentioned to me when I first got involved with cfw on 3ds...

As mentioned about he's right it is very safe today & very little reason not to put cfw on,

Sky3DS only run clean backups (1:1 cart dumped) on .3ds format. No homebrews, no mod roms, no eShop digital games, no VC games
