Hello everybody,
It's been a long time since I came in contact with Wii U Hacking.
I have 2 consoles. On my old one, my Approach was to install Wii U games on one USB, and use the other USB slot for Wii/GC games on vWii.
It was kinda "annoying" because you had to stealth the other driver and use specific settings in USB Loader GX.

Now my Idea was to just inject all the games I want, and install them directly to Wii U Menu.
Is there any downside or difference?
Sure I can't hotswap games, and I need to run a CFW. But other than that. It should be good right?
I now have about 70 games in total. Then I'm thinking of how to make snes nes and PSX playable.
I would prefer a dedicated Wii U Homebrew, if theres one. Probably just retroarch right?
Or you could Inject them, but I heard its kinda complicated to remove the dark filter.

Thanks guys!

Another question, how much do you think read speed matters? Have you had any issues with some usb? Thinking about getting a 256GB mini usb from SanDisk. I heard the speed goes down after it gets warm to maybe 30 ish MB/s

Don't use flashsticks, use harddrives. Speed is capped to USB 2.0, so fast drives are useless.

To injects: For Wii games (and probably others) there's a compatibility list: https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_Wii_inject_compatibility_list - no other downsides, if anything upsides (like gamepad compatibility) except the dark filter you mentioned but removing that is pretty simple:
