since SXOS betav3.0.4 is out is safe now to update emunad with choi to the last update? also beside choi any other way to install update offline for emunad on SXOS core mariko thanks for any advice
It should be safe otherwise there would be major complaints of it not working. You can also install system updates with SX Installer.

Question: Does anyone know of a way to duplicate items in animal crossing new horizons using a mariko switch with an sx core chip installed?

  1. Make sure the SD card is FAT32.
  2. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
  3. Download the latest Atmosphere
  4. Download the latest fusee-primary (next to Atmosphere)
  5. Download these signature patches (for Atmosphere v0.13.0)
  6. Put Atmosphere and the signature patches onto your SD card
  7. Download the 10.1.0 update and put the folder onto the root of your SD card.
  8. Download ChoiDujourNX and put it onto your SD card.
  9. Put the SD into your Switch
  10. Enter RCM
  11. Launch Atmosphere using fusee-primary
  12. Open the homebrew launcher, preferably using title override (not the photo album)
  13. Launch ChoiDujourNX
  14. Update to 10.1.0. If you don't want AutoRCM, disable that option.
I am trying this now. Where do I get this files for step 7 and 8?

I didn't hear an answer on whether or not I'd lose my existing games and save files following these steps? I have made a full SD card backup for now but still wondering.

Thanks.

ChoiDujourNX is here:
https://switchtools.sshnuke.net

The 10.1.0 update files can't be shared here.

You should not lose your save files or games, but you should always be making periodic backups of important save files with JKSV and storing them somewhere safe anyway.

Thanks. It appears to be working. After updating to new firmware though I can no longer load official game carts in the game card slot. I get an error message and am told to insert a card even though I have one in the slot (I’ve tried Zelda BotW and Mario Odyssey so far and same problem with both).

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I am trying to load a backup of Animal Crossing but it is larger than 4GB. How do I install over network or USB or whatever method I need to install files over 4GB onto a FAT32 formatted SD card?

To load game cartridges, you need to allow your game cartridge slot to be updated. You can do this by editing the BCT.ini to disable nogc.

NSP files should always be installed over a USB, FTP, or internet connection, regardless of whether or not they're bigger than 4GB. You can do this with blawar's Tinfoil, and you can use Nut on your computer.

Use Tinfoil and Nut (https://tinfoil.io/Download) it works w/o any problems. Leave the nsp on your pc, start tinfoil on switch and nut on pc. Scan the directory with the nsp in it on pc. Go to tinfoil, connect the switch to the pc and check for "browse file" and install via A.

So my switch which was on 9.2 ran out of juice on the weekend

All was working smoothly before hand with 12 games running fine from NSP files, I've charged up and re booted by rerunning the terminal in Mac using Fusee.

However now, none of my games work anymore, I'd really hate to have to redownload them and reinstall as my internet is super slow where I've moved.

Steps taken today;

1) Re ran a terminal with Fusee, resmashed, back to CFW 9.2 (Using Mac OS)
2) Installed 10.0.4 firmware using ChoidujourNX - no errors
3) Downloaded a new SD card set up with latest versions of Atmosphere 0.13.0
4) Re ran terminal process, Switch says it is on 10.0.4 Atm
5) No games work, I have corrupted data messages, let one recheck and then still doesn't load, the ones that do not say corrupt data initially load and provide an error message as soon as the screen goes black.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance

Question: I installed CFW today, managed to emuMMC and install Incognito. However when trying to install homebrew apps on Atomosphere I don't appear to be able to see any apps to install? Any help is much appreciated.

Where do I find "BCT.ini" and then how do I "disable nogc"?

From my tiny knowledge, the safest way to make it happen is :

1.Backup all Games related file and folder inside or outside Emutendo from MicroSD. Emutendo folder contain your save game file

2. Backup Boot.dat and license.dat from MicroSD

3. Go to OFW and update through OTA (If you haven't update to 10.1.0)

4. Go to Bootloader menu and delete Emunand

5. Create backup (usually every version of OFW should be backed up.) of Nand / SysNand

6. Create Emunand and wait until finish. Turn off the console and turn on again to make sure it works

7. Go to CFW with Emunand enabled. After that turn off the console

8. Copy back all your stuff to MicroSD and continue your gaming and modding.

This is how i do it.

I'm trying to figure out what is exactly the folder structure and content of the emuNand on the SD card, and what is necessary to backup to paste later on the new emuNand after the update of OFW, backup of SysNand and creation of new emuNand.

Is it possible to copy all installed games and their saves so that you don't have to reinstall all of them after the update?

I want to take advantage of doing this "clean" update to change the format of my SD card from exFAT to FAT32 as I read many scarry things about data corruption happening with exFAT due to the bad exFAT driver implemention on the Nintendo Switch...

Hello,
I had hacked my switch last year and in the meantime I hadn't used it much anymore; my battery was very low and I had to wait several hours before I could start my switch.

Once started, I found myself in the official menu of my switch in non hacked mode.
I had to restart PegaScape and go to "News" to get access to the homebrews again.

I then found myself with the homebrew already installed on my SD card the previous year and in particular "Choixdujour".

And then I had to make a mistake and I updated the switch to 6.0 (memory) through choixdujour.
Since then, my switch remains on a black screen.

It is well lit because TegraRCMGui recognizes the switch.

Could someone please help me?

I have an unpatched switch, with the latest versions of Hekate, Atmosphere, and the works all loaded and working seemingly well.
I followed the Github Guide to the T and have atmosphere working.

The problem (reproducible) is whenever the switch goes into Sleep Mode I get a bright blank yellow screen on the switch screen. The only way to get rid of it is to force shutdown the switch for 10 seconds.

Any idea what would cause this? Any insight would be appreciated.

Have you tried using ReiNX?

What do you mean?

Where do I find "BCT.ini" and then how do I "disable nogc"?
It is located in the Atmosphere folder and you have to disable it manually. However if you use Hekate and fss0, its much easier to disable nogc as Hekate has a setting for it.

emuMMC is initially a copy of your sysMMC so whatever content is installed and saves are stored will be carried over.

That's the thing, I don't use OFW. So its content is basically nothing, just like your Switch first start or after a factory reset.

My emuNand is based on this state for a clean start, but then contains a lot of data (games, saves, profile, homebrews, pictures...)

I am interested in knowing where are located the interesting data in my emuNand so that I can restore them after updating OFW by OTA, deleting current emuNand, dumping SysNand and creating new emuNand with updated FW.
From what I understood, it is the cleanest way to update Nintendo FW on emuNand.

If you are using partition based, then they are stored in the partition.
