atmosphere is crashing when i launch a rom in melonds. have the bios7, bios9, and firmware files in melonds folder on root of sd card, and the nro inside switch/melonds. Am i missing something?

Mac likes to add hidden files prepended with "._" when you interact with stuff in Finder, and a lot of flash carts/emulators/what have you don't appreciate them or interact with them well. If you're comfortable with the command line, a quick find /Volumes/SD_CARD_NAME -iname ._* -exec rm {} \; will clean it up before you dismount it proper, which is handy if (for example) whoever put together something you unzipped was working on a mac to start with.

Apple thought of this and already made a command called dot_clean already. My mind was blown when I found out!

Hello, first thank you very much for your tremendous contribution and apologies for my English (my language is Spanish). I need to change the region to be able to play castlevania 1 and 3 in Spanish (they have that language) download the file that is 4 post back and uncheck "boot game directly" but it does not give that option in the bios, it only shows a white screen with legend that ask to touch to continue and then the game starts. please some help. Thank you

you're firmware file is a hacked one. Try to get hold of a better dump and compare it's checksum to those here(https://drastic-ds.com/viewtopic.php?t=5417)

Thank you very much, I managed to enter the bios, I change the language to Spanish but the game continues to start in English :( I close the program then I open it and the bios continues in Spanish but when the game starts it continues in English. What am I doing wrong?

try erasing the savedata. There might also be a language option inside the game.

Mic issue solved (Mac OS)
Ok I think I now know what the issue was... I reinstalled melonDS but this time I used my Windows computer and not my macbook.
It really is a riddle to me why mac seems to have problems when it comes to stuff like this

You need app called CleanEject and it does works very well for me. So I dont have to go to my Windows laptop to do this. Save my time. Use this for macOS called CleanEject. Google it. Love this light weight tool!

does melonds work via Retroarch?

Thanks catlover for this amazing emulator.
The standalone version running really well here (with bios) and the "big & small" screen setting is amazing.

I have installed retroarch 1.8.8, is there also the JIT enabled version included with the same performance?
Tried "Giana Sisters DS" in the standalone with 1,5 Ghz running really well without audio/video hickups.
In the retroarch version (0.8.3-JIT) there are audio/video hickups also with 1,7 Ghz.

I tried it and have a feeling the standalone version has better performance.
Also i am missing the "big & little" screen alignment of the standalon version.

Keep up the good work
thx
