Gaming Gran Turismo 7 pop in

Who else saw pop in on the Gran Turismo 7 trailer?
I did watch it in HD.
I have not logged in here for weeks, I have come here to make this thread. I am disappointed by the games I saw today, disappointing graphics and now this Gran Turismo 7 has pop in even with the world champion consumer SSD.

Look just a few seconds after 3:00 where that yellow barrier is to the left side.

I only really noticed the draw distance of shadows when playing at 25% speed, but obviously with optimization this will not be visible on the final product. This visible drawing of shadows was very obvious in the last segment of the trailer after the 02:00 mark.

I agree that I didn't get too amazed by the stream, but I have to rewatch a lot of it in 60 fps since the stream was only 30 fps.

Many games looked cool, but it didn't revolutionize graphics the way you might expect. Personally, as long as it has good ps4 bc I would get it, maybe after a new revision comes out that doesn't look as ugly.

Jesus its a trailer of a game that still has many months of development to be put into it. Criticise the full game once finished if it still has it which it won't.

I agree with everything that you have posted. Especially for the ps4 bc and wanting a revision that is not as ugly (Series X looks good, PS5 looks terrible).

I thought the SSD and tech overall is so well performing that this would already be optimised enough for no pop in at all.. simply by virtue of the power of the machine. Maybe this is just very early development footage of Gran Turismo 7.

I mentioned this in the showcase thread, but one thing you've got to realise - this is Gran Turismo, and certainly won't be a launch release, we'll probably have to wait about 18 months then pay nearly full rrp for a demo, sorry, prologue , before another 2 years for the release! As such it's probably too early to start off with the pitchforks, and certainly other games later in the showcase were far better looking..
...They probably just should've mentioned the game was in development really, and not shown off this far too early footage..

I don't think it made it look that bad really. Maybe if you're a die-hard racing fan and are comparing it to forza or the previous GT entry. I'm not so I don't really care too much. All in all the showcase was better than microsofts last showcase so I hope they step up their game. The only really weird thing about the ps5 part of the showcase was that it begun with showing GTA V.

Game-wise it looked exciting with what it showed, which was also the point of the stream.

No they really haven't. Most people will understand that this is nowhere near a finished product and still has another long stretch in development before it's anywhere near finished. As for the design of the console itself, if you are buying a console for looks, you're doing it wrong. The only thing I see here is some one looking to complain over over absolutely nothing for the sake of complaining.

I highly doubt pop-in will be an issue next-gen on either console. I'd imagine if what you're seeing is pop-in it's likely just the engine not being optimised to take advantage of the new hardware.

I mean I don't really care when I watch pre-alpha footage from games. If it was close to release then I would be alarmed.
Unfortunately for us, both of the new consoles' designs are... interesting to say the least. For me the best of the worst seems to be the PS5. Microsoft's just looks like a mini tower, a boring one at that. So you just have to pick your poison I guess!

They did not put any real visible disclaimer that the footage is very early development.

I do not understand why people dislike Series X and compare it to a full size fridge.
I've never had an Xbox and I think Series X looks real great. Very good design.

PS5 is absolutely hideous.

As for deciding to show the footage, Sony obviously makes the final call on what to show in their stream. Again I think what mattered is that they showed it there to make more hype, even if as someone said the game will be released years down the road.

I wish they made it clear in big letters that the footage is very early. That would clear things up quite a lot.

Who knows? Maybe we are wrong. Maybe the footage is not that early. Maybe the PS5 really can not handle it and the game will have problems like this.

I just don't get people who get upset over this shit, at the end of the day you have a choice not to buy stuff. No one is holding a gun to your head saying you have to this game or console so get over yourself. They owe you nothing so stop putting yourself on the high horse
