You mean a savegame you downloaded from the Internet? The most straightforward way would be to start a new game, save, and then look at the SD card to see what file the save data is stored in. If the file is the same size as what you downloaded from the Internet, then just replace the file with what you downloaded. If the file is a different size, then they're probably in different formats and you'll have to figure out how to convert the one you downloaded.

I don't have a SDcard in it.

DSTWO uses standard raw saves like most flashcarts and emulators, name the save the same as your ROM but with the .sav extension and see if it works.

Have you renamed the save game to the same as the game? I.e. if the rom is named MARIOHOOPS.NDS, the save should be MARIOHOOPS.SAV.
But its the other version my normal game is mario slam basketball and not mario hoops 3 on 3 :/

As far as i'm aware you need same name for rom and save file in same folder.

SD card root/
Roms/

Mario.nds
Mario.sav

Did i missed something?

Because I have the EU Version already on my ds
Did you try downloading (USA) save file "Mario Hoops 3on3 (USA).sav"
but renaming the ROM file from "Mario Slam Basketball (EUR).nds" to
"Mario Hoops 3on3 (USA).nds"?

So you would have in your ROMs folder:
"Mario Hoops 3on3 (USA).nds" (renamed from: "Mario Slam Basketball (EUR).nds")
"Mario Hoops 3on3 (USA).sav" (downloaded as is)

How can I do that and where do I have to download it?

As for how,
you just connect a SD card from SDTWO to a PC, open a folder where the rom is located and rename it to name of downloaded save file, for example: "Mario Hoops 3on3 (USA).sav" as i said above ^

As to where to download it,
well you can find it using google... but if you cant, ill try to find one for you.

I'm not 100% sure this will work, i'm testing it as we speak, but i don't see why it wouldn't work.

It is entirely possible that the save data for the EU version differs in some subtle way from the US version, such that save data for the US version will only work with the US version. In that case trying to convert the US save data to work the the EU version would likely require at least a little tedious reverse-engineering.

I tested what i told you. I just renamed a EUR rom and used USA save and it worked. Apparently saves are not region locked.

Ill try to find you some 100% save files from mario hoop 3on3, but you need to rename the rom same as the save file.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
