Hello, dear guys!..
I've a small question to you: is there any program / homebrew / software way to enter Recovery mode (not RCM, but the Maintenance mode) in Nintendo Switch without pressing Vol+ and Vol- buttons?.. Cause a friend of mine have a console without these buttons (they're broken after the one unlucky incident).

Maybe any software way: a homebrew, or some sort of payload, just anything to enter Recovery mode, but without the pressing Vol buttons.

Thank you greatly.

UPDATE: many thanks to ZachyCatGames for the rightful solution: https://gbatemp.net/threads/is-ther...ol-and-vol-buttons.565895/page-2#post-9075152

Code:
[boot]
force_maintenance = u8!0x1

For RCM mode without it being on AutoRCM you would need the jig, payload sender, and the button combination. You can't even use a dual boot setup since it requires button pressing using volume buttons.

and the button combination.
He has all of that, but his VOLs just doesn't work, at all.

Is there any software way (a payload, a function in hekate, a homebrew, literally ANYthing) that doesn't evolved Vol buttons of the entering to Recovery mode process?

He has (autorcm, or he may disable autorcm, the dongle, the jig, you name it) all the other stuff.

No there is no alternative way to enter RCM mode if he disabled autoRCM and have a broken volume buttons, as the button combination is given by Nintendo not the community.

Well, there is if his firmware is v4.1 or below. Above that, yeah, you're right.

I'm bit confused with the answers here, what RCM has to do with Maintenance Mode?

OP seems to want to enter Maintenance Mode (which requires holding both vol- and vol+ while turning on the console), this is different than RCM (the black screen where we send payloads). He even stated his friend already has autorcm.

Unfortunately i don't know any way of entering Maintenance Mode without holding the vol buttons, you may need to fix these buttons to enter Maintenance Mode.

It is true that unit with 4.1 firmware or below can enter cfw via pegascape but his question was on entering ReCovery Mode not software base entry point.
Well, in our defense, you can use pegascape to load hekate then from there use the screen to reboot to RCM.

Aww, I was so hoping for any software solution.. Something like reboot_to_payload, but reboot_to_maintenance_mode..

I guess replacing all the buttons is inevitable, and there's no all-software way to enter the Maintenance (Recovery, but not the RCM) mode.
Thanks.

@Kafluke
Sorry, I don't answer to the unintelligent questions.
I was going to try and help you. Was just wondering why you want inside maintenance mode. There are a lot of misconceptions as to what you can accomplish in maintenance mode. No need to be snarky. I wasnt being rude just looking for more info so I could help.

I might be one of the most qualified users here to help you. I wrote the go to guide for Wii u hacking and I've been working on a similar switch guide for 2 years. Just ask around if you feel I'm being dishonest.

I've been on the switch scene since day one and have tested every CFW and current mod chip so I could speak with confidence on the subject.

I just wanted to know your intentions for going into maintenance mode so I could help you solve the original issue.

Being a dick is not gonna help you get help from this community.

Thank you very much for that!..

I'm so sorry but I don't need any other help except the software way to entering the Maintenance mode.

It's a pity that it's utterly unavailable, and i'ts available only through the hardware (aka mandatory pressing Vol+ and Vol- buttons simultaneous) way.
Have a nice day.

You can pull the back off and easily press the volume buttons. I'm still curious though. What are you trying to do in maintenance mode?

It's nothing about my one and precise actual questions — a software method to enter the Maintenance mode.

But thank you anyway.
Well I presume it's a switch thats not hacked and needs a way to enter MM(In this case, there is no software way to enter MM). You can update and initialize the console through ofw, but your still gonna need the volume buttons to enter MM if its on ofw. This question is like asking if there is a way to enter RCM without holding volume up.
