I don't think MVG ever got around to making Heretic/Hexen/Strife working. It says it is in the GitHub but it isn't.

Anyway to make the controls more modern? Moving forward and turning on the same stick sucks. Make the turning on one stick and moving+strafe on the other.

No. But they work with GZdoom. GZDoom is recommended.
