When i try to open a ds game my 3ds just hangs with a black screen and does nothing(even the 3d sliders light is on). I think the problem maybe is that my 3ds can't boot into ds mode(or twl) but i even tried using twl fix cfw edition.
Im using an old 3ds with luma, fastboot3ds and softwere version: sys 11.13.0-45E. I installed homebrew with an r4 i rts gold+ 3ds/ds.
please help

so i tried the tutorial and it still does not work but when it hangs if i press x the key for booting into godmode on my 3ds then it boots into godmode. So im asking if i could get a firm from somewhere to boot me into ds mode so when i open a ds game and press the hotkey it boots into ds and the game works. Im going to try it now.

cool now i broke it even more but how do i fix it?
I was going to write a step-by-step instructions in how to fix the DS(i) mode, relist the DSiWare games & restore their saves, and repair the NVRAM brick, but got lazy writing it all half way through. Halfway point was floating around step 20. So here are my cut down instructions that heaps more troubleshooting effort onto the end-user (you). Enjoy the pain.
  1. In GodMode9, go into the [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND/dbs directory.
  2. Press (A) on ticket.dbCopy to 0:/gm9/out.
  3. Press (A) on ticket.bakCopy to 0:/gm9/out.
  4. Press (X) on ticket.db to delete this file.
  5. Hold (R)-shoulder and press (X) on ticket.bak. Rename this to ticket.db.
    • This will restore your original ticket database.
  6. Repair the 3DS firmware + custom firmware with CTRTransfer (Type D9) - CTRTransfer.
    • Follow all steps 1–17 in the Instructions.
    • :!: Do not skip steps, especially hardware checking the SD card.
  7. Fix the broken DS(i) mode caused by NVRAM brick.

I need help!

With the tutorial I can finally run DS games, but there is no sound from the speakers or headphones. I have tested it with PKMN Platinum and Mario 64.

In 3ds games and menus everything works smoothly.

Does the audio work in HOME Menu and playing 3DS games?

The audio works on the Home menu and in 3ds games without problems.

In DS games there is no sound, also I have to try to run the games several times (sometimes it works and sometimes it only returns me to the Home menu).

Previously my console did not connect to Wifi, but after the tutorial it seems that this problem has been solved.

Here is a video of the problem.

Thank You!

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.
