I think I might have done something wrong to my PS3. This all happen a few days after I downloaded hen on my PS4. I was trying to play a disk game and it got stuck on a blank screen. So I unplugged the ps3 and now it won't come back on. Anytime I try to go to safe mode it only shows green dots on the TV. I have tried to use different HDMI cords but the same thing kept happening. Can anyone tell me what I might have done wrong and how to fix it?

Could be anything. Have you tried recovery mode? hold power button until there is 4 beep total i think.

Solder connections could have corroded due to heat, could be related to the hdmi, could also try cleaning the old thermal paste near the gpu or try putting a little aluminum foil in between (ghetto but it could work). Sounds like either corrosion or overheating. Try applying pressure to the gpu. Should be the big metal square that says "RSX" on it. Could also be the resolution or corrupted bios. You could also try either swapping out the HDMI cable or trying the RCA as the last user suggested. Test it on another TV's port, worth a shot. Unplugging the console is always bad. You could also try the the switch on the back, although this thread is nearly a month old lol. The video upscaler (silicon chip by the hdmi port) could also be the issue and might need to be reflowed. If the videocard's pooped out completely you might have to get it serviced. Hope you've solved the problem. :D
