Switch Cheats Updater

78696328-916c2a00-78ff-11ea-95e4-f104e8428e64.jpg

A Nintendo Switch homebrew app to automatically update your cheat files for your installed games (and not for the entire library). That way it doesn't clutter your SD card. Supports Atmosphere, ReiNX and SXOS.
Fetches the latest cheats from the main gbatemp thread (thanks to @matias3ds) through my mirror (updates once a day).

Blacklist titles
By default, this homebrew will overwrite the existing cheats. If you have your own cheat files that you'd like to keep as is, you may add the title IDs of the corresponding games, one ID per line, to /config/cheats-updater/exclude.txt. Use http://tinfoil.io/title to find the title ID of a game.

Please note that this homebrew merely places .txt files in the appropriate directories. If after using my homebrew the files are there, then it did its job. For any issue related to cheats not working, I won't be able to assist you and recommend you ask in the relevant threads

Awesome work.

Question: does it give me the option to pick and choose which games i want to download the cheats for? or does it download cheats for all games that i have installed?
Right now it downloads the cheats for all the games you have installed. In the future I might implement that feature, but don't hold your breath

EDIT : you can blacklist titles

You're done, it put the cheat files in atmosphere/contents. Now launch a game (and hold L I think), launch Edizon in applet mode and click the cheats button. From there you can enable the cheats

It will only download for the games you actually have and not all of them.
ya. i mean if i already have the cheat file for the games i have in the ams/content folder, will it dl the latest one and automatic replace the current one ? if yes, it will be very handy as i no need to keep replacing the old cheat file when there was a new cheat being update

im familiar with the red screen, but I don’t use atmosphere. Should I move the zip that was downloaded to another directory? Also, titles.zip was saved to E://switch/

Ah. I'm not sure how to use cheats with SXOS. My homebrew should have put the cheats in /sxos/titles, which is where they should be for sxos, but I dont know what to do afterwards... Doesn't the sxos homebrew menu have its own cheat menu?

Titles.zip should be downloaded the same directory has switch-cheats-updater.nro. So it'll be in /switch/ if you put it there

Nah, titles.zip is just the archive. What's important is the extracted cheats. And they should be in the right place (/sxos/titles)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Just use the cheats menu from SXOS's homebrew menu
got it, yes. i extracted titles.zip to sxos/titles and i can enable cheats with sxinstaller (highlight installed game and press y twice). the cheats are not found from sxos album menu.

Yeah but you shouldn't have to do that, the cheats should be extracted by the program... The point being that it only extracts the cheats corresponding to your games, not all the cheats for the entire library. If you do it manually, there's no point in using my app. It's hard to troubleshoot because I don't have sxos. When you first used the app, it didn't extract them to /sxos/titles?
