My Switch SD card became super slow for some reason. When I try to download games through hbg shop, try to install nsp files with goldleaf or any other installer or when I just want to copy files from my PC to the SD card, the transfer starts out as fast as it should be, but after maybe 50% it suddenly slows down to a crawl, to the point where 1 gb can take 5-8 hours.
Last time that happened, it stayed that way for months and then it was suddenly okay again.
I tried checking the card for errors and everything, but I have absolutely no idea what I can do.
Is my card just broken?

By the way, my SD card is a SanDisk Ultra 400gb with FAT32 format

Over time my games become corrupted, system memory is fine, some not all games on the SD car however now so much.
Why is this, and how do I solve it or prevent it?

Hey there,

so i have my good old cfw switch here, because my Online Switch couldn't get repaired :(

I have 2 burned fuses and my 2.1 OFW NAND Backup which should be clean, since it was the first thing i did when i started hetake.

Noooww..
Is it a good way to have the OFW FW running in the emunand?
Or should i downgrade my physical switch to 2.1 back (so that the HW is "clean"), start all over again and use cfw on the emunand?

I mean if my OFW should be able to play online, then i have to burn the fuses so that i don't get a ban, right?

SD Card is 200GB so it should be plenty to use emunand and tomorrow i get a 400GB one (150GB backing that up takes time :D ).

Also one thing, on my current CFW Switch it seems that my SD Card isn't working, i think that i prevented something because of my 2.1 nand what should i do about that? upgrade the slot to play my card games?

Will I be able to play the legit game with the update from eShop on CFW, when I downloaded the update and game on OFW before? I mean do I own the same games in my library on CFW as on the OFW?

I don't know man I'm so lost and keep getting this error. Does the file structure look odd? Should hekate ctcaer file be in payloads folder instead of root? Is it trying to boot with the ini code from the root instead of the bootloader folder? The one on the root looks like it's not complete and says DANGEROUS
Hekate no longer uses the ini file on the root of the SD card.

so, I've followed the guide and now have sysnand, cfw and emunand all on 3.0.2 - do I need to update, or should I only update if any game needs it? It's a completely fresh console, and I have no intention of playing online at present...

I believe I read that I need to download a game/youtube to be able to run some backups? will I need to update the sysnand to access the eshop to do this? Is there a guide any where?

Also, do I just boot into the relevant OS and update in each, or update sysnand and then create a new emunand?

Sorry for the n00b questions, I've done a lot of reading but there doesn't seem much "what next?" after completing the initial guides...
The purpose of emUMMC is to run higher firmware versions than your sysMMC as well as act as a brick shield. You update either sysMMC or emuMMC when a game/update/DLC depends on it and you update each separately as emuMMC and sysMMC do not share anything. In order for either emuMMC or sysMMC to access the eShop, usually they need to be on the latest firmware however right now even firmware 9.1 can access the eShop. And in order to run backups, you either dump your games or download them illegally from the Internet and install them with a title installer such as Awoo Installer.

If your SD card is formatted as exFAT then there is your answer.

It depends on you; you can go online in either emuMMC or sysMMC. Also no one has been banned for having a mismatched fuse count so you don't need to burn fuses in order to avoid a ban. And if your SD card is not working, make sure it is formatted as FAT32.

CFW and OFW are just different ways of booting up the console.

I have an unmodded switch, but I'm curious are there tools to create our own backups of cartridges? Are there tools to back up our eshop purchases too? I want to create backups of my physical games, that's why I'm curious. Thanks!

Does this mean that installed Roms on the CFW will also be installed on OFW?

They will show up in OFW but they cannot be launched.

Friend's switch is on fw 8 with cosmos. Whats the best way to update to fw 9 and play backed up nsp games?
Use ChoiDujourNX.

Doesnt komos use atmos as a base though?
It does but say for example you only add the additional files that come with Kosmos but not present with vanilla Atmosphere, you will still not be running Kosmos. Those files have to be updated which is better performed with a clean install.
