Windows RT that comes pre installed is useless.
Windows 10 on ARM is completely different.

So no, a surface rt running windows rt is not the same thing but a bit more useful than a switch running windows 10.
Windows 10 on Surface RT is Windows 10.
Windows 10 on Surface RT is Windows 10 for ARM devices.
Surface RT can only run Windows 10 for ARM.
Surface RT doesn't have an x86 or x64 compatible CPU.
What you want is impossible.

Impossible is nothing. ©

Surface RT shipped with a version of Windows 8.1 that ran on ARM and never received an official Windows 10 update. AFAIK Windows 10 for ARM needs ARM64 and Surface RT is only 32 bit, while Switch is 64 bit.

Surface RT doesn't have an x86 or x64 compatible CPU.

I know surface rt doesn't have an x86 or x64 compatible CPU, it's an arm cpu.

How arrogant for you to think you know what I want & then say it's impossible.

Maybe stop trying to win by making shit up in the future.

I personally was just having a discussion, unlike you I didn't seek to win anything.

Goddamn it, son! Stop pounding me with your superior intellect! I am beaten already. Have your way with Windows 10 on Switch and let me wallow in my self pity. I am unworthy of your attention, damn it!

Linux is the crystal meth of operating systems.

Well at least you've stopped posting lies about Surface RT.

It's a pity you lack the ability to accept you were wrong and instead have resorted to sarcastic drama bullshit because you think it will help you win.

I'm not sure what you are saying but it's neither addicting nor does it poison or hurt your health. It's doing its job fine.

If it's bugs then no. Windows is by far not as stable anymore as it used to be. Lots of small and big issues recently (the explorer search bug just to name an example). Use what you like. It doesn't matter.

I know a lot of Linux users who cannot cope not running Linux, so it certainly seems addicting.

It also affects their thoughts, so they think that Linux on the desktop is good enough.

It's the same the other way around. If you never used Linux you will find it hard to fully switch. It's easier to keep using what you know than to learn something entirely new. Besides what's wrong with not wanting to run Windows 10? There are legitimate concerns (especially privacy). If you don't care that's fine. Then you have no reason to switch.

Why do you think it's not good enough? It certainly does the job. Maybe even better depending on your needs (for software development for example since everything is just there and works).

You coul try with Windows 10X instead

this version of windows 10x is early days and atm made for two screens. people said they need to make for big and single screen which if they want it to be future of windows it will be/ as gamers are not going for smaller screens

Yes, I mistook Win 10 with Win 8 while typing. You already won. I lost. You are an enlightened person. I am not.

Proceed. You shall accomplish. I'm with you.

working on installing win 10 on switch getiing close
only thing you're getting close to is being ridiculed by the whole community
you literally have zero idea what you're doing and not only will it not work in the end, it will be a waste of time the whole time you're trying to get it to work

Just some info for those who might want to look into this, I've played around with the ARM build quite a bit, you can actually test it yourself using qemu to create a virtual machine (keep in mind it's extremely slow and not usable but handy to test with).

So to those saying it's useless, not entirely true! So it comes baked in with an x86 emulator so can run any win32 32bit apps without issue, I believe they plan on adding 64bit support later it's mainly due to a licensing issue (something to do with the patent).

Keep in mind without decent driver support it's going to be extremely aggravating to work with. You can find the latest ISO of the arm build on UUP Dump.
