You are right, that title should be changed in the xml database. Everyone knows it as the new zealand story (I didn't even knew that the title was changed to kiwi craze for USA).
You have 2 options:
-the quickest and easiest workaround is going to settings page 13 and disable titles from the Database. So you'll have your your orginal titles from the rom names.

-otherwise you can edit the NES.xml and change this line

to this

after saving, delete the file 'gametdb_offsets.bin' in the same folder, and reload cache in Wiiflow

thanks I was looking for cfg.ini which there is no cfg.ini i had no way to get in that 'gametdb_offsets.bin' LOL just to delete also NES is done now and SNES is working i guess it will not read snes title.zip with .zip.png all i had to extract all roms and do .nes.png and .sfc.png Thanks for the update on NESxml again will do delete the 'gametdb_offsets.bin' too :D

I have no idea what you had to extract all of your zip roms. It would be so much better if they were zipped because zipped already have the crc. Extracted wiiflow has to calculate the crc for each.

Hello, all. I'm a WiiFlow user from many years ago, and was delighted to recently discovered that fledge68 has picked up the torch and continued development on it. I just updated my existing WiiFlow installation to the curent version of WiiFlow Lite and it overall went well, but I'm having three relatively minor issues I'm hoping someone can help me with:

1. I can't load GameCube games. I was previously using DIOS MIOS, and I understand that's no longer supported. I installed Nintendont under sd:\apps\nintendont\, but WiiFlow Lite gives me an error that "GameCube loader not found" when I try to launch a GameCube file. I'm sure I'm just missing some simple link between the two - can anyone give me a pointer? I do have it set to use Nindendont rather than Devolution.

2. Album art for Wii and GameCube games work great, but I get no art for Homebrew stuff. In the old WiiFlow, it'd show the app icons. Is there any way to enable that for WiiFlow Lite?

3. When loading a new "screen" (ie., list of Wii games, GameCube games, etc.) I'm always initially shown a 100% message with a status bar, like it's auto-reloading the cache, and takes a few seconds to clear. Is there any way to prevent that?

Thanks,

Edit: Have some updates:

1. I can launch GameCube games by first launching Nintendont as homebrew, then selecting and launching the desired game. Launches fine, but my gamecube controller doesn't work with it. (edit 2: wavebird needs to be powered on before launching game). Still can't get it to launch from within WiiFlow, though.

2. I fixed this issue by setting smallbox=yes

3. I fixed this by setting update_cache=no

So, just my Nintendont issues remain. Any ideas?

On Settings -> Gamecube settings -> default loader (or something like that) = Nintendont

@fledge68 i want to try and use your nand option in Wii flow lite, why are the optimal settings for it? My system hits a dsi exception after I have created the nand file, extracted saves, etc.

I did do that. Still get the same error, though.

Where is Nintendont's boot.dol or loader.dol supposed to be placed on the SD card?
sd:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol

or

usb:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol

maybe make sure the nintendont folder is not capitalized. Also make sure to update nintendont to the latest.

@Danimalzpwn3 how did you create your emunand? did you use wiiflow lite to make it?
why did you extract saves?
when do you get the dsi error?

@fledge68 yes I did use wiiflow lite to create the emunand.
I extracted the saves assuming that the saves extraction copied all the save data of the select game and allowed it to be displayed in emunand. I get the DSi exception once I change the nand emulation in a game settings to default, then press play.
So I have extracted nand and save games and nand appears in usb1 folder.

did you look into if there a bug that would not read roms with zipped ?
what wiiflow version are you using? v5.2.0? v5.4.0? or any of the v5.4.1 test dols?
lets use snes9xgx roms as an example:
when the rom is zipped does it have .zip extension? or .7z? or some other extension?
when the roms were zipped did the games show in wiiflow with blank covers?

what type of game? a wii game? or wiiware/vc game?

first off when you extracted your nand you didn't need to do saves extraction because when you extracted your nand it copied the whole entire nand (including any saves).

second. extract saves is only for wii games. it's extracts the savegames for wii games. again not needed.

what do you have your emunand settings set to? main settings>pg1 emunand settings.
whats nand emulation set to?
whats saves nand emulation set to?
what is selected emunand name? default?
is on sd? or usb?

just zip no 7z also show in blank covers and it display title games shown top right corner
ok thank you.

did you rename your covers to match your roms exactly?
did you include the .zip extension?

example:
rom = donkey kong country.zip

cover png = donkey kong country.zip.png

notice the .zip.png
