You can clear the update by entering Recovery Mode (not RCM).
Thanks bud
Im not too bothered about getting banned, you can't go online or use nintendo services anyway and as im not going to sell the thing then it won't affect me at all (I think)
Im just glad that annoying prompt is gone

Hi o/

I'm here for a random / noob question, but I really need some advice here;
I've a hacked Switch (updated to 9.0.1 iirc, atmosphere) offline all the time. No issue at all or anything.

But I'd like to go online for like 10 seconds. I'd like to "dowlonad" / load the Pokemon Sword / Shield event.

I can't do emunand and I can't use another switch atm. I've ofc homebrew (it's the only thing i've on my Switch)

What can I do to be the safest as possible since I really need the events to test a few things on my save.

Thanks o/
You cannot connect to the internet with Pokemon if it's pirated, period.

If you have a legitimately purchased copy of Pokemon, you can go online with it using a clean sysNAND or clean emuNAND that has never touched hacks before without being banned.

Hello guys, i'm just new in here
I've followed that switch guide and everything worked fine. My question is; Everytime that i turn off the console i have to use RCM to use it unlocked or there's a way to just put things automatic?

Yes, you must boot using an RCM payload each time you power off and want to boot CFW. It is recommended that you keep your Switch in sleep mode and docked whenever you are not using it, particularly if you have AutoRCM installed.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Well as said, i ONLY have homebrew (so NO pirated stuff)
and I can't use a clean sysNAND or a clean emuNAND because of that

Thanks
Depending on the homebrew you've used, it might be relatively safe. However, without a completely clean sysNAND or emuNAND, you aren't necessarily safe.

Used Checkpoint and EdiZon only.
I guess i'm not 100% safe, but is there anything to make it closer to 100% since I only used homebrew (really nothing else)

Thanks again

You probably won't be banned if those are all you used, but the risk is yours to take. Alternatively, you could restore a clean NAND backup to either your sysNAND or your emuNAND, and then you can use that for online play. If you do not have a clean NAND backup, you could always clean up your sysNAND or emuNAND using something like this.

Hi guys,

I am currently on switch system firmware 5.1.0 and using SX OS 2.5.3.
I upgraded my SX OS a few months back and now would like to update the system firmware.
I have understand using the choidujournx method is the way to go.

My question is , is it safe to update 9.0.1 and is it safe to update straight to 9.0.1 from 5.1.0?
Online play is not important to me.

Thanks in advance
I would recommend updating to firmware 9.0.1

Hey guys.

So I have an old switch that is firmware 2.0.0 (Europe) next to my normal switch I play all games on.
And I wanted to the hack 2.0.0 Switch so I can play some of the local multiplayer games with my nephews.

The problem I have now is the following:

I am supposed to do a nand backup in case I somehow fuck up the whole hacking cfw etc.
But I cannot use my SD cards. My 200GB my 128GB all require a system update. 32GB is insufficient for that as far as I understood.

How do I proceed now? Do 64GB sd cards work? / What triggers the "update" notification? Size or type of SD card? Can I even do a nand backup if the SD is Fat32? 4GB Size limit isn't it?

Help would really be appreciated :)

Also whats the best way of /tutorial for doing the whole hacking in almost 2020?
You can still dump the NAND even with an exFAT formatted SD card on a console without the exFAT update. However if you are truly paranoid, you can also dump the NAND using FAT32.

Should I update the emuMMC with latest FW from this site.

You cannot link Nintendo Switch firmware files on this website.

how do I go from Kosmos to vanilla atmosphere?
I'm running emuMMC Kosmos (latest version)
I attempted to remove everything except emuMMC folder, copied over latest atmosphere 0.10.1 package, injected fusee payload.

i get atmopshere/sept bootscreen, then switch logo, then crash report.

is there more to this?

I'm at a complete loss. This is the first time I'm trying CFW for switch. Every time I try and boot any CFW from hekate, it just goes to a black screen. No logos of any kind appear. The screen just goes dark. I have the sd card in fat32, so I know that's not the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My console is an older one, and is definitely patchable. It's on the latest OFW.

You need to have your config setup properly for emuNAND.

I recommend the following steps:
  1. Make a NAND backup with Hekate if you haven't already. Store it somewhere safe.
  2. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
  3. Make sure your SD card is FAT32
  4. Download the latest Atmosphere from github
  5. Download the latest fusee-primary (next to Atmosphere)
  6. Download these signature patches
  7. Put Atmosphere and the signature patches onto your SD card
  8. Put the SD into your Switch
  9. Launch Atmosphere using fusee-primary

exFAT is not recommended, due to the increased likelihood of corruption and miscellaneous errors. You should not need to use larger files on your SD card. If you do need to use large NSP files, for example, either split them or install them over a USB, FTP, or internet connection.

I see, I've been told to split with 7zip as redump ING these games is a pain (time - distance wise) and my old system was exfat.. Do you have an input splitting a game?

Splitting NSP files, copying them to your SD card, and installing them from your SD card is inefficient. I recommend one of the other options (or HBG) instead.
