Since updating the hack using mod mii when I boot up it boots into the boot mii s screen and I have to press reset to boot into system menu what do I need to do to just boot direct into system menu many thanks for all your help on the forum

Thank you I assume this is currently on the root of my SD card so I can move it anywhere else or into another folder does it matter?

if i remember correctly its booting into bootmii because its detected the bootmii folder on your sd card just simply rename the folder to bootmii-disabled and the wii will boot directly into the system menu

not sure if bootmiis changed at all since i last used it but thats how i’ve been using bootmii

i’m probably entirely wrong about this whole post and if i am just simply ignore it

There is a program to set the default boot option called Bootmii Configuration Editor which should still work.
Hello.:)

Yes,that would be the easiest and safest Way.
If you rename/move Files on your SD Card, you have maybe "Troubles" if your Wii has "Troubles" someday.

Thank you.:)

The simplest way is to just open up the ini file and make the changes there. The file itself is self-documenting (i.e. everything you need to know is written in there). Anyway, the proper way change the behavior is to change the ini file so that it boots into the system menu (and you can also set delay values to 0). While there might be programs to make the changes, it seems rather silly to have to rely on yet another piece of software when you can simply make the edit yourself using a basic text editor.

I don't recommend renaming folders or files -- then you have to remember what the correct folder/file names where if you should ever have to do a backup.

You don't use .bak extensions? Whenever I am futsing around around with something, I'll rename or copy the original to its original file or folder name and add .bak to the end so I know what to change "back" if something goes wrong. I'm sure I didn't develop this habit out of nowhere but for the life of me I can't remember where or whom I picked it up from!

I agree with you that a text editor route is just fine. Heck, ModMii classic has an editor built in and I would probably still opt to use a text editor, but the tools are there because not everyone is comfortable. Anyway, I'm not really disagreeing with you, just bantering.

Hello,

If I remember correctly, it was enough to rename Bootmii to "" Bootm "", and that's it.To start the console properly in the wii menu

To be clear it's renaming "bootmii" to anything other than "bootmii", like "bootmii.bak", bootmii.off or whatever you like. Editing the config file works to. So does removing the SD card, or deleting the bootmii folder
