Would breeding the pokemon make the offspring have the correct abilities?

Yeah I think it would, havn't try yet but as I said, they would learne they normal abilities by leveling so just catch them on the first road. I only used his code for charmander and litten cause his name intringued me (english is not my language) for trying if it's works everytime unlike the ones I posted that are random.

Am I missing some step in using these codes? disabling and activating the normal encounter code continues to result in a crash for me

I don't know, you could change code after you catch what you looking for then just save and reboot your game with no cheats. The normal encounter isn't really necessary.

tried but I cant even exit the battle without the game crashing no matter the combination of how I use the codes and deactivate tthem

I have Litten so I can say yes for him. I don't know for the others but I'ill try for totodile. It's my fav pokemon after charmander so thank you KhaosRogue !

Gen 2-6 are not in the game. Using a random encounter code for, say, Chikorita, produces 'a wild Egg'. I would not advise catching it.

@Bober791 read before ya post Zekrom has the model in the game Arceus isnt even programmed in. out of almost 900 pkmn only 435 are in the game...duh

There are only 435 pokemon in this game with over 70 of them being brand new to gen 8. Over 60% of all old pokemon are not in this game.

I mean, there is no Zekrom in this list, and there are in the game. These list are misleading. These Pokemon Icons are more accurate.
