It's very random work. The code just will add the pkm on the area where you are when you encount a pkm with R holding. I found Scorbunny after 10-15 minutes, same for ditto but only 2 minutes for dreepy. So keep trying and don't put R when you're on the menu game when your cheat is enabled. You have to go in the grass when you see an exclamation point and hope it's what you where looking for.

An other solution is the Kalkat5792 code you can found on 76 page. But you need to know which line to activate for the pokemon you're looking for. A little complicated but works every time.
how do i use the codes from the page 76?i tried using the same codes from the other guy for dreepy and i didnt found it after 30 minutes

Yeah I saw that one but it said no Gen 8 pokemon which these are. I did not realize that R screwed things up. That might be what it was as I was using the hold R for shiny code at the same time. Hopefully those 3 will work now and then just hoping for a snom and/or Clobbopus since I saw on serebii you don't get them until very late in the game.

You can find Snom on the overworld just directly on the right of Motorsville. In any case, I am today because it is snowing in this region for me.

Anyway, here's the code for snom

Yeah, this cheat code erase all pkm on the area your are bye the pkm cheat code activated.

Fortunately, you keep the stats of the pokémon you are looking for but you take the abilities, natures and gender of the pokémon you are replacing.

That's why the legendary or even ditto captured in this way have a gender. Anyway, they will learn the skills normally by leveling.

Would breeding the pokemon make the offspring have the correct abilities?

Wait are they actually in this game? Or is it just hex files for them? Does anyone have visual proof of these pokemon models actually being in the game?

Note: Get values by using http://armconverter.com/ and "MOV W1, x" to generate the value, x = National Dex ID
Note2: only the dex id is overwritten, not the formid, better only use it on non-form-changed encounters.
Am I missing some step in using these codes? disabling and activating the normal encounter code continues to result in a crash for me

Hi guys, I've used the encounter cheats for pokemon that are in game and it works great. However almost all of them don't have the miniature icon in game (box, party etc), they just appear as black poke balls instead. Is it normal?

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
