I used to do tons of ps2 and wii mods with one of these:
Only 6 watts, runs on only two bunnies (energizer batteries), would last long enough to do 5 to 7 ps2's (that is 22 wires per chip)
There is ones similar with finer tip, but I can't find it off-hand, radio-shack used to sell them, but be careful there is two types (the cold heat) ones you don't want they have split-tip and send a electrical charge between the tips, you want the type pictured above that infact heats up only when you press your finger on the button.
