I used to do tons of ps2 and wii mods with one of these:

Only 6 watts, runs on only two bunnies (energizer batteries), would last long enough to do 5 to 7 ps2's (that is 22 wires per chip)

There is ones similar with finer tip, but I can't find it off-hand, radio-shack used to sell them, but be careful there is two types (the cold heat) ones you don't want they have split-tip and send a electrical charge between the tips, you want the type pictured above that infact heats up only when you press your finger on the button.

I got to start some where, - first the photo of the iron, then the photo of the opened switched. --- going to be long long leak, one puzzle piece at a time. -- I am very good at assembling 1700 puzzle pieces upside down, all i saw was grey cardboard until i was finished and flipped it over!
