Then there is no fix. idk the cause of this issue.
The only "fix" is to use TWiLight Menu++.
Maybe we can read some logs? Or something.
i'm using 2ds xl with all latest softwares installed + b9s and stuff.
I want to help you fixing this issue :D

There are no logs written.
Sad thing.
I don't think it's because of the console firmware because I updated just to see if bug gets solved, but after I updated using software update + updated luma and other hacky stuff I still got the issue.
I think it's because of something hardware level, maybe

I don't think so. I even got the issue before, when testing homebrew, and I fixed it, by passing the ROM path via argv, instead of writing it to "ntr-forwarder.ini".

Did you also turn on "Automatically set ROM path"?

I installed a cia with FBI but it won't boot, that's not the issue though. I want to delete it but it doesn't show up in the Data Management menu, does anyone know where the cia would be located in my sd card so I can delete it?

It's in DSiWare in Data Management.

Hi, looking forward to using this, I have the the SD all ready to go but....I can't launch the forwarder.jar
I get a
Exception in Application start method
error. The forwarder window loads for a fraction of a second then disappears. I'm on 64 bit Windows 10 with latest java.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Yes I did turn it on, I did wrong?

You can easly find it seaching online: pictochat nds cia download
I don't know if you'll find useful..
By the way I doubt this was something made by Nintendo, I think it's a conversion
It's indeed made by Nintendo, as it was dumped from DSi consoles.

Damn, thanks anyway, great work here :D
Maybe you know a way to convert nds rom to cia file? I found some nds roms already converted in cia and they work, do you know which tool they used?
I believe you do this by booting into godmode9. I did it for a .nds file I had for Rayman DSi to make it into a .cia.

And here's the guide:

Here's a link to a link that shows how to do it on a pc:

Last edited by Zense,
The crash is unrelated.
Also, are you trying to launch the app that starts Homebrew Launcher, or are you launching an official app to start HBL?

Well, today I solved all the problems. First I was missing Homebrew Launcher files on my SD. That's why crashed lol. And second, I realised that I was putting the forwards on a "cia" folder which didn't had the proper roms to launch. Just pretending it was another cia file. But it was needed to put the cia file and the nds file generated by forwarders on the same folder that included the roms. So everything is working fine now.

Thanks anyway for your answer!

Anyone got a forwarder working for a game with a Wide screen patch to it? I can load games via Twilight Menu and will boot with wide-screen enabled, but when using the forwarder it doesn't apply the wide-screen.

The devs say that it isn't possible right now, but there's nothing stopping anyone from trying of course.
