Get a bigger SD card. You'd need one for the 3DS flashcart anyways, if you got one of those. So you may as well get it for your 3DS and install games that way.already have that, but i need more space to get pokemon sun, since i want to play it,but i dont have enough room on it cuz the cfw already take's up 25% of the sd card
why cant you just use windows to format it to fat32 or is it a requirementGet a bigger SD card. You'd need one for the 3DS flashcart anyways, if you got one of those. So you may as well get it for your 3DS and install games that way.
For anything over 32GB, you'll need to format it as FAT32 on a computer with a tool like fat32format.

IIRC it does, it just doesn't let you format bigger cards to fat32.Windows doesn't have a Fat32 formatter built into its os.
Windows doesn't let you format cards bigger than 32GB to fat32.why cant you just use windows to format it to fat32 or is it a requirement
cfw ... 25% ... what do you have a 1/2 gb sd card there is no way this can be true, but i dont have enough room on it cuz the cfw already take's up 25% of the sd card
you are misinformed you can use any size sd card you just need to format it to fat32Did you not get the message? i already said i needed more memory, and the 3ds doesnt allow you to pass 256gb,and i already am going to spend like 6.75 eur n a 32gb one
because windows can't natively do that ... unless you know your way around cmd it's easier to use a 3rd party applicationwhy cant you just use windows to format it to fat32 or is it a requirement
If you need more memory then please buy a bigger microSD card. A microSD card would be a far cheaper and better solution over buying a flashcart.Hayato if you read the whole thing you would know i already have cfw,but i need more memory,so yea
I have yet to test past 256GB, but you really don't need anything past 256GB as there is still a 300 title cap on 3DS games. The only real requirement is to have your microSD card formatted to FAT32, which there are plenty of tools provided that can accomplish that. I don't use Windows, so I am just going to suggest the one already postedDid you not get the message? i already said i needed more memory, and the 3ds doesnt allow you to pass 256gb,and i already am going to spend like 6.75 eur n a 32gb one
No, CFW does not take up 25% of the SD card. It barely takes up a few megabytes. And if you had a 256 GB SD card Pokemon should fit on there with ease.i already have cfw and stuff, but i dont have enough room for pokemon sun,so i'm gonna get one prob

There is no real limit to the max size of the SD card but I doubt anyone would actually need more than 256 GB. 64 for me is just enough and with 256 you could probably fit every single good game the 3DS has to offer, most of which you are probably not interested in anyway. Skip the 32GB and go for a 64GB, it should last you a good while. Highest I would go is 128GB and that is honestly more games than anyone needs to have on their system at one time. It starts getting a bit overwhelming at that point.Did you not get the message? i already said i needed more memory, and the 3ds doesnt allow you to pass 256gb,and i already am going to spend like 6.75 eur n a 32gb one
yup, everyone aleady recommended thisDon't use a flashcard. Buy a big sd card and install cfw. That is for free. I think everyone recommend this.
