i tried that but greater than scan is stuck at 1681 results and doesnt seem to go lower

1681 is too much for sx os to show the results, try reload the save and continue the search

the game is not using the latest masterkey, so using ignore firmware should work on 8x or grab the xci version

yeah i tried with the gil value but that changes locations when going to title screen and loading the save so id guess that the time location would change too so loading would mean needing to start over

Has anyone made it to were the mouse eats the elevator button, how do u get it back with the cheese?

Once the mouse is eating the cheese, sneak behind it and flash it with the flash light.
Seems the Flash from the flashlight instant kills all mouses, birds, spiders and bats.

@dsrules well i found out the save for Final Fantasy IX is in plain text so its easy to edit. Leaving this here if anyone else wants to change the time to something else so you can get the timed excalibur while not having to rush through the game. looks like the time is in some sort of float making it more difficult to scan for

when you export your save youll find a file named DATA_SLOT0_FILE0 or something similar. (this is for a slot 1, file01 save)
open the file up in a txt editor notepad/wordpad/notepad++ other more advanced may mess up the formating.
find but in place of the #s youll see a decimal in seconds that is equal to your time
"95000_Setting":{"00001_time":"###.####"
just change the decimal between the quotations to a low number. then reimport the save.
When loading it youll see a the same time as before you edited the save but dont worry when you get into the game itll be the correct low time you set it to.

Figured it out. It’s a long process but the save file does work. I had to go in and put JA instead of KR when I was playing the Asian Version of the game for the Eng patch to work. The cheats work perfectly now though.

how do you move ur save files from JAP to Asian? , cause mine doesnt work using checkpoint

Just like the previous cheats from the others; Money cheat works, but the heart cheat doesnt work at all.

I wish. I actually went back to that recently hoping Id make a breakthrough, but those pointers are a pain and that game isnt popular enough to get the attention it needs from the right people. Your better off playing it on PC and using cheat engine's cheat tables, or just doing manual searches for the value you need and alter it when you need to. The values are all easy enough to search for iirc.

You know, im not entirely sure what causes the cheat to break. I have 4 different versions of the HP cheat that work fine, and boot up fine everytime I play, and never seem to break doing my playthroughs, but break the same times yours does (which is why it was the first thing I checked.) and dont work when I share them.

I gave up making a cheat to share. I have Inf. HP when I play and Im happy with that, but for some reason sharing every working code I have is just no good. I need somebody much smarter than me to fix it. For now I dont think its going to get much better.
