hi, running 8.1.0 cfw i was playing Retro arch and for some reason the switch crashed on the error screen then when i rebooted tried Rcm sent my payload nothing happens. just stays black screen. but i can ear all the sounds that windows makes when either plugging usb c cable in and when its in Rcm mode im confudsed can any one help pls.

try holdingpower button for 30 sec so that the switch completely shuts down
then try to push payload again
If that doesnt work then it could be a corruption in the card so you can try to format the card and then use a fresh set of cfw files ( best to try this with a spare card if you have one)

If possible do you have another microsd card you can test with? Max 16gb or such? I just wanna test so you can enter RCM.

Weird that a retroarch crash would suddenly not make your system unable to boot back to cfw unless it's a sd card corruption. I hope this isn't a hardware issue like your sd reader failing.

Did you hold Power button for over 12seconds like Budsixz said?

try holding power button for 30 sec so that the switch completely shuts down
then try to push payload again

Try using a different sdcard, install the Kosmos package and try booting RCM.
